Lucky Man

Link is a lucky man.

Not many can say they were the same age twice. Or that they saved two worlds from two different fates that were connected only in their capacity for total destruction. Even fewer can say they stood up against a madman and survived.

Only one can say they beat him.

Link is a very lucky man.

He has everything he'd ever need. Protection is granted to him by a Goddess; he's her only favorite. He has freedom to roam wherever the wind blows. He has the strength to make it blow in the direction he wishes to roam. He'll never go hungry. His wounds are more often than not superficial—if not, then easily healed. He always has a home to return to, should he ever desire it.

His looks ensure that wherever he goes, he is well satisfied. His heart ensures that he never takes advantage of a pretty face or a flirtatious look. His skill is beyond measure, both with a blade and in other things.

He has friends that would die for him. Family that greets him with a smile and a hug and "why'd you take so long?" Even his enemies grow to respect, even possibly admire, the lucky man.

"Zelda Nohansen de Hyrule, do you take this man, under Goddess oath and protection, to be your husband…"

Yes, Link is indeed a lucky man.

"To cherish until Goddesses take away? To hold above all others but your Goddesses? To have in sickness, and in health?"

He has everything in this world he could possibly need.

"To present before your Goddesses, your beloved elders, and your kingdom this day as their new royal to stand by their queen?"

The Hero of Time has everything he's ever wanted…

"I do."

Except his Princess.
