One Another Night
It's another gloomy night. Gigantic moon shone brightly, another shadow disperses with one slash of his one-handed sword. Minato practically alone after command the team to split up and gain more experience. The moon look so close, make him wonder when the last time he ever questioned the purpose of his action.
He not lied when Junpei ask why he didin't know he bring the death with him, but it's completely a lie when he said he doesn't remember the accident 10 years ago. He remember as if a nightmare.
It was his birthday, no, its their birthday. He still remember weight of his twin sister body in his arm. Blood almost match her auburn hair, it felt so warm in his hand when he touch her head, shook her up to open her bright and cheerful eyes. He remember that he called their parents, his Mom look so peacefull but also pitiful at her dead. He doesn't had a chance to see his father before hear another loud sound, he cried for help but after that he only remember the pain and blurry vision of Aigis.
Another Shadow lurking up. Minato rise his guard and get ready to attack first. He can hear Fuuka voice who assist another team member, check their status and location. He move forward with his right hand put evoker on his temple
"Thanatos, Tempest Slash"
a multiple blade slashing the shadow down, Minato catch his breath
"that was too easy" say Fuuka remark his move
"yeah, can you tell them to meet up at stairs? Face The Reaper is the last thing I want to do today"
Minato can imagine the girl nodded with his word
"I understand, I inform the others."
Minato run to the stairs and meet Mitsuru, Yukari and Akihiko along the way. Mitsuru handed him a medicine before take the stairs, his target for today is reach the 220 floor and its only 2 floor apart from where they are now.
"I sense a strong enemy above you" said Fuuka
Minato lead the team to search stairs, defeat any shadow which in their way. Akihiko blast last Zio spell to finish one shadow when another Shadow cast Agi on Minato. It burn up his skin and almost knocked him down, Mitsuru finish the Shadow with Bufu spell when Yukari get closer to heal him but he refuse
"I'm fine, it's just a scratch, save your energy Yukari"
"it'll get worse, just let me do my job" Yukari cast Diarahan at him, heal all his burn skin and energy.
"drink this, I need you at your full condition" Minato handed Precious Egg to her, followed with gratitude and a slight of blush at her cheek.
Akihiko and Mitsuru wait them at stairs, the move up to the next floor.
"I sense a strong Shadow in the middle, be careful" inform Fuuka
Minato light up the transporter then check his team condition, he didn't want to lead them to death but he know that was inevitable so he do his best to strenghted his friends. He felt a bit strange when consider SEES Team as a friend, sometimes he want to know what will his twin sister said when see him like this, something like 'you need an end of world to find some good friends' or else.
"Minato, I guess you had your mind at another place. if you tired we can go back" Mitsuru voice bring him back to reality.
"It's okay, let's do this" Minato sigh then lead the team to attack the Shadow.
It's another night at Tartarus, another night fight the shadow. One more step to find the truth and life greatest question.
