"RIOLU, I CHOOSE YOU!"

"Rizzo wake up!"

my eyes widened when I felt a horrible burn.

"OUCH! HEY WHAT WAS THAT FOR?"

My sister's Pikachu shocked me.

"Mom said you had to go to school to start your journey."

My sister, Yellow replied. So I got out of bed, put my jacket on, tripped down the stairs, ate breakfast, and headed to school. Just like the daily routine. When I got to school I saw my friend, Tai, Waiting for me outside. Tai was an odd kid but he's really nice. He had glasses, black spiky hair, nice clothing, and more importantly, he's Asian ( which is awesome!).

"Hey, Rizzo! Ready to get our first Pokemon?"

He said excitingly while adjusting his glasses.

"Totally!" I replied

So we walked in the classroom and sat in the front where we normally sat.

"Welcome to class everyone! Today you all will be getting your first Pokemon!"

My teacher, Mrs. Short announced. Luckily, she called up me and Tai. There were 20 pokeballs. Mrs. Short pointed at the pokeball she wanted us to get and we chose them.

"Don't send them out until your first battle."

I reached in my pocket and gripped my hand on a stone, it was called an Everstone. It's said to stop any pokemon from evolving. To me it depends on which pokemon I receive. After everyone received there pokemon, they all went to the playground to battle. I saw Tai battling with a Charmander.

I felt a tap on my shoulder.

" Hey."

This is Bryan, I would consider him my rival. He's also way to cocky.

"What?"

I replied. He held up his pokeball.

"Want to battle?"

This is what I meant by cocky. I held up my pokeball and said.

"Bring it on!"

After that, everyone gathered around us as we held up our pokeballs.

"GO!"

We both shouted. I sent out a yellow Riolu. After I sent him out he sparkled. He was a shiny Riolu! Bryan sent out an Eevee. And then the battle started.

"Riolu, try using Mach Punch!"

I shouted. Riolu suddenly teleported straight over to the Eevee and started punching it around 20 to 30 punches. Eevee got right back up.

"Eevee use Tackle!"

Eevee charged at Riolu with great force. Riolu was knocked on the ground.

"Riolu! No, you can't lose!"

Riolu's fist started glowing white. He teleported right behind Eevee and punched him with so much force. Eevee probably went a whole mile as far as we know. But maybe I'm exaggerating, he was just punched at the end of the playground.

"Riolu! Great job!"

I ran straight up to him and tackled him playfully. Everyone cheered with excitement. I looked backed and I saw Bryan walking home with Eevee cradled in his arms. Walking away feeling sad. I ran to Bryan to apologize.

"Hey, Bryan. I'm really sor-"

"It's fine, it was a fair win"

He grinned for a second and walked away. I saw Tai walking towards me, me and Riolu waved to them.

"Char!"

"Hey Rizzo!"

"What's up?"

"How 'bout a battle?"

Oh gosh, another battle? Ugh, I guess I have to.

"Uhhhh ok why not?

"Alright! Charmander are you ready?"

"Char! Char!"

"Riolu!"

"Ri!"

Mrs. Short came to watch the battle. As usual when she watched a "special" event (like the one with me and Bryan, when we battled) she always grabbed her plastic chair and sent out her Delcatty and Espeon to watch with her.
