A/N: Hello! A few days ago, I had my life ripped apart by Alone on the Water. After I sobbed all morning and wrote an entire scene into my July NaNo novel about my characters crying over A Thousand Years, I knew I had to find a healthier way to get it out of my system. And so I wrote this Shakespearean sonnet based on Alone on the Water. I really hope you enjoy it!
ooo
He came to me when I was most alone
When emptiness had painted dreamings white
With blinding brilliance, Sherlock blazed, he shone
And burning, set my every day alight.
A skipping stone propelled across a lake
He brightly burst into my lonely world
With swirling colors splashing in his wake
He spun and danced; my heart had twirled.
But pebbles' flights must someday slow
Thus, on the leaping waters, darkness fell
"John, I'm afraid," he whispered. "I don't want to go."
I held him as he sank beneath the swell.
Within six months, my doctor's work was done.
Consulting Detective. Still the only one.

Thank you for reading! Please tell me what you think while I go off and wail A Thousand Years through tears.
