A/N: This is sort of based on one of the comic book issues in which Batman visits Robin on the Anniversary of his parents death and finds he's already being taken care of. This time I swapped out the characters and added in my own sort of details. There's a lot of emotion in this story so I hope you like it...
Disclaimer: No tricks today... I do not own the Teen Titans or any characters DC owns.
She stood in the darkness; Robin stood before her and neared the edge of the roof. She had come to see him, she hadn't seen him in a long time and she felt they needed to make amends. Their hearts once skipped to the same beat, they once could read each other's minds in the split of the second when they worked together. Not anymore… she had found someone who loved her as much as she loved him, equally and wholly. Though he… was still alone especially on this day, last year Batman had come out to see him but this year he insisted she went, but to go at night.
She prepared herself to go out to him to help him through all the emotions he was feeling as his tears fell. She never thought of it to be manly to cry but Robin had an actual reason to be so sad. He lost his parents, both on the same night at such a late time, then thrust into this dark world of the Dark Knights, something that no ten year old should have to do at the time. She was different she had a loving mother and father who would do anything for her even if they didn't know of her current occupation.
Then the door to opened and a tall skinny girl with crimson hair, tan skin, glowing emerald green eyes ran out in her Pajama's, a plain purple camisole with green lace, and green and purple plaid sweats. She stood their silently for a moment not taking her eyes off of him, as if she knew he was going to be there. She ran hurriedly to him, and stopped just behind him without a single word. She reached her right hand up slowly almost hesitantly and laid it on his left shoulder and gently turned him. They stared at each other silently for a few moments which felt like hours.
She figured this must've been the alien girl who almost tore down Jump City a few nights after Robin left Gotham. She wondered what she was doing here, with him, at this hour of the night. All she really knew was that she was his teammate, though now she wondered if, to him, she was something… more? She watched in silent anticipation as the girl's hands slowly went up to his face and removed his mask without any defiance on his part. She couldn't help but be shocked, she was absolutely sure that he must've been purely in love with this girl because rule number one always was never reveal your identity to anyone, anyone, though Robin's never been known to follows Bats rules.
Her eyes and his connected and she wrapped her arms around him understandingly as he cried into her, as if she had done this before…
"Richard it has been many years since I have seen my parents also, after our war against the Gordanians I lost my parents also, you are never alone Richard, never, because… I love you… I love you so much Richard Grayson." She said softly only barely audible to her.
"Thanks Star that means a lot to me, I love you too…" He said softly back through whispers.
She couldn't help but smile, Bats knew all along. He sent her here for this one purpose to show her that she doesn't have to ever worry about him. So she left, quietly and discretely, not having to worry about his well being because… he was in good hands.
A/N: If you didn't figure it out who the girl watching is, it's Barbara Gordan AKA Batgirl. R&R please :)
