It was a quiet day on the "Liberty," sun held its place in the sky. Shining all its brilliance down to the world below. Water glistening with hundreds of little diamonds blanketing the scene.

"Hey, little sis." Luka's gentle voice greeted his baby sister.

"Hey, Luka." Juleka replied, her quiet voice barely audible. A few minutes of silence spread between the two. Each relaxing into their own projects.

"Juleka?" Luka began. The purple haired teen stopped what she was doing, acknowledging her brother's presence. "You know... I was thinking, it's been a while since we've done something together. How would you like to go get ice cream?" Luka offered.

Juleka smiled wildly, nodding her head. Ice cream was her favorite treat. Luka put his guitar away, and the two quickly exited their houseboat.

There was a small, hometown ice cream shop near where the boat was docked. The siblings have been there many times in there lives. A bell chimed as they were greeted by an older woman they've come to know as "Grandma Cream." They chatted briefly about school, how their mom was and their lives in general. Luka paid for their treats and they left to sit at a small table just outside the building.

"Does Chloe still bother you at school?" Luka asked, concerned.

Juleka lowered her head a bit. "Um... yeah, she mostly just gets to Rose though." She replied with a heavy heart for how the school brat always hurt her best friend.

"She's lucky to have a friend like you looking out for her." Luka reassured.

Juleka paused, thinking she was the lucky one to have found her as a friend in the first place. "I don't want anyone to hurt her..." She finally stammered.

Luka paused. "...Juleka, I know my little sister. What did she saw to you? I can tell there's a dark song filling your heart."

Juleka froze after taking a bite of her ice cream, slowly sliding the spoon out of her mouth. "Uh... well..."

Luka slid his seat closer to his sister, placing an arm around her shoulders in comforting support. Juleka sighed, sadness plaguing her aura.

"It's... not her... there's this boy at school I have a crush on... And I found out... he doesn't like me at all... He was making fun of me for being... weird" Juleka finger quoted the word 'weird' as tears began to slowly poke at her eyes.

Luka was frustrated to say the least, but melted into his roll as big brother. "He doesn't deserve you then." He stated simply.

She sniffled, but spoke no more. She couldn't work around the lump in her throat.

"Juleka, I know rejection hurts. One day you will find a boy who will love you for who you are. Never settle for a loser like that, little sis." Luka spoke. Juleka leaned in further, hugging her older brother as the tears stained her cheeks.

"I'll protect you, Juleka."

I wanted to do a cute brother/sister fic for Juleka and Luka and this is what happened because it was all I could think of XD
I'm not apologizing for the horribllness lol
