Piglet is blown away
Piglet was coming over to his best friend's house when he was blown away by the wind because he is so light and can't do anything about it.
"Hmm, I wonder where Piglet has gone he should be here by now!" said Pooh as he was eating his honey, "I might as well go look for him." So Pooh went off to find Piglet.
Meanwhile Piglet was being whisked up above the hundred acre wood. He could see everything from up there and everyone. There was Kanga putting up her washing with little Roo helping, Rabbit tending to his vegetable patch, Eeyore building his wooden home and Tigger bouncing around everywhere as usual. He didn't see Owl as he was on a vacation to his mother's and Gopher was under the ground lazing about in his bed. Another friend he didn't see was his best friend Pooh. Probably eating honey in his home thought Piglet but he was wrong and we know it.
Pooh was having a rest from his searching for Piglet. Piglet had not seen him as he was sitting under one of the hundred trees of the hundred acre wood. Pooh had searched everywhere, he had asked Kanga, Roo, Tigger, Rabbit, Eeyore and even knocked on the top of Gopher's home to see if Gopher had seen Piglet. All of them had said "no". Pooh had nobody else to ask. At one stage he was going to go to Piglet's house to see if Piglet had seen Piglet. (Pooh was a silly bear and couldn't really think straight.
Just then Christopher Robin walked by and asked his favourite person why he was so sad. "I can't find Piglet, Christopher Robin, he has disappeared." "Have you asked everyone in the wood?" asked Christopher, "Yes and all of them said no." "Maybe he will appear at some stage."
Piglet wasn't going to appear for ages if the wind had not suddenly dropped. Piglet went hurtling towards the ground at a high speed. He was heading straight towards a bush of thorns! This is it thought Piglet I might as well say my prayers now. But just as he was about to land he was lifted back into the air again. Piglet thought he was dead when he opened his eyes as he thought he was going up to heaven. But no he thought I'm meant to go straight up not up, down, left and right. Piglet was right he wasn't going to heaven he was going up, down, left and right because he was on Owl's back.
Owl had been flying home from his mother's when he had seen a pink thing hurtling towards the earth and knew it was Piglet. He had plummeted down towards Piglet and had caught him just before he hit the dangerous and very sore thorn bush.
Kanga, Roo, Tigger, Eeyore and Rabbit had seen the rescue and told Christopher Robin and Pooh who were still waiting for Piglet to appear. When Owl and Piglet landed safely on the soft ground there was a great cheer for Owl the hero. Piglet got off Owl's back and thanked him very much for saving his life.
There was a big party for the return of Owl and the rescue of Piglet. Everyone was happy even Eeyore! And they all went to bed dreaming happily.
