Hey! I have wanted to write this for a while so here you go! I've read a bunch of stories where Sam shows Freddie how well she knows him with the lyrics of this song but I wanted to show Freddie singing about Sam and things about her. Please review.
Disclaimer: I do not own iCarly.
Carly's POV
I ran up to the studio to get my jacket. Spencer and I were going to the Groovy Smoothie. As I reached the door to the studio I heard music. I peered through the glass and saw Freddie sitting there with his guitar strumming. I was going to call out to him but he started singing so I just listened. He was singing the song I'd lie by Taylor Swift. As he reached the end of the first chorus I realized he was singing about a girl! A girl he really likes from the sound of it. I hoped it wasn't me. Freddie and I are friends but i really don't like him like that. I listened more carefully to the lyrics.
And I could tell you her favorite colors green
I thought...I really can't tell the girl from her favorite color. A lot of girls like green even Sam. I continued listening.
She likes to argue, born on the seventeenth
I almost laughed to myself. Sam and Freddie love to argue. But Sam's birthday is...the seventeenth of March. I shook my head. No way. There are a lot of girls who have birthdays on the seventeenth.
Her sister's beautiful, she has her fathers eyes
I matched those up with Sam. My stomach was churning. Her sister is identical but everyone considers Melanie to be the pretty one. I pulled out my phone and looked at a picture I have of Sam's dad. I took it before he died. He and Sam had the same eyes exactly. Something turned in my stomach again. What if Freddie was talking about Sam? What if he liked her? What would that mean for iCarly? Did Sam even like Freddie back? I thought about all the times I've seen them glance or smile at each other but I was always happy because I thought they were becoming better friends. But what if those were about liking each other? Hmmmm if it makes them happy then I guess it wouldn't be so bad. And Sam isn't the type to be all mushy and stuff so I don't have to worry about that when I am around. But Freddie obviously doesn't want to tell Sam yet. I shrugged as kept listening. He had gone ahead in the song.
Don't let nobody see her cry
Sam had purposely made sure Freddie and anyone else besides me was not in the room when she cried. This could be her. I am sure it's her. I need to ask Freddie.
She'd never tell you but she can play guitar
At that moment I walked in the room.
"I didn't know Sam played the guitar." I said to Freddie. He jumped.
"Carly? How did you know?" he stuttered.
"Know what?" I asked.
"That I was singing about Sam." He looked at his feet.
"Because I know her almost as well as you do. How'd you know she played guitar and I didn't?"
He grinned sheepishly, "I came up here one day and heard her strumming on the guitar. I asked her if she could teach me how to play. She punched me but said sure. So for the past few months Sam has been coaching me."
I nodded slowly taking this all in. Finally I said, "You need to tell her that you like her."
He nodded, "I know. And I will. When the time is right."
Thanks for reading. Hoped you liked it. Please review.
