Leo's POV

Leo wished he could have done something to stop Percy and Annabeth from falling into Tartarus.

He felt empty.

How were they supposed to continue on the quest without them?

The two most experienced demigods?

Should Nico be trusted like Hazel had said?

What about camp?

What if it was attacked?

What if Percy and Annabeth die in Tartarus?

There were more questions swimming in Leo's head.

Leo still blamed himself.

They needed a way to get Percy and Annabeth out of Tartarus.

They needed to close the Doors of Death.

They needed to reunite the Greeks and the Romans.

And they needed to beat Gaia.

When all hope seemed lost he heard a voice.

A soothing but strangely familiar voice.

" There is always hope."

Then it hit him. It was something his mother had said to him years ago.

In the workshop.

The words echoed in his skull.

" There is always hope."

" There is always hope." Leo repeated.

He took a shaky breath.

They still had to continue the quest.

Hope is always there.

Even at the worst of times.

The End.
