I don't own any of this, though this is a sequel to a better way as requested, I hope you all like it, I know it's short, but it just didn't seem fair to make them struggle through any more quite yet. Please review.
Carol stood at the door to they yard, she'd been on her way out to check on Dean, but when she saw him she'd been captivated, he and Daryl were running around chasing Merle, Daryl would tackle him, and Dean would run over and start trying to tickle the man over twice his size, and Merle would pretend he was in agony.
She'd never seen anything so sweet, it had been six years since Chad had tried to destroy everything, and yet here they were, happy and safe. Judith came running over piling onto of all of them, while Merle tried to escape, Rick and Lori were watching from the swing set they had built a few years back, Glenn and Maggie were inside taking care of Rose, there new born, while Carl and Beth were up in the watch tower, they were supposed to be keeping watch, but really what can stop young love. Even Merle had Michonne, a lovely but terrifying young woman they'd saved from the Governor.
About five years ago they had taken in another group, and it was there turn to work the field, so off in the fields she could see Tireese, and his people, they had two kids of there own, it was quite the little community now. While Carol was busy watching Dean, Daryl snuck up behind her grabbing her around the waist.
"How's my wife?" He asked when she turned around smacking his shoulder with a huge grin that she was trying to make look like anger.
"About to have a heart attack thanks to you." She scowled, he laughed leaning down kissing her passionately the way only he ever had.
"Ew, Daddy, don't you know girls have cooties." Dean told him making a face, Carol laughed, Daryl sighed, turning to crouch down in front of the boy.
"Na, your Mamma, she's my wife, and once you marry 'em they ain't got cooties any more." He explained, Dean reached over taking Carol's hand.
"Really, is that true mamma?"Dean asked, Carol looked down at her beautiful brown haired boy, with his crystal blue eyes looking back at her expectantly.
"Yes it is, that's why you shouldn't be with a girl until after you're married." Carol told him, Daryl had to stop himself from laughing, and Carol shot him a look.
"That's right, now run along to your uncle Merle boy so me and your Mamma can finish what I started." He told Dean, Dean made a face and ran off, Daryl grabbed Carol around the waist pulling her into the prison. She wriggled out of his arms sticking her tongue out at Daryl.
"Can't have me if you can't catch me!" Carol giggled, feeling particularly whimsical today, then she turned and ran towards there room at full tilt, Daryl chased after her eagerly, he loved a challenge. They ran the whole way there, Carol slipping out of his grasp whenever he got too close.
They made it too the room and Carol waited at the door grabbing him when he ran in and tackling him onto the bed. She pinned him down holding his hands above his head, his initial struggle ended by a face full of her cleavage, and he turned instead to nibbling at her perky breasts.
"Happy anniversary, Mr. Dixon." Carol told him leaning down to capture his lips, he smirked up at her.
"Happy anniversary, Mrs. Dixon." He leered flipping her over onto the bed, there life wasn't perfect, but damn it was good.
