Kai watched as the sixth damage landed in the damage zone, and the battlefield disappeared as the Link Joker dragon let out a mighty roar. Aichi's dragon.
The bluenette was standing away from him, the floating red table disappearing and the star vader battlefield fading away, revealing Gaillard's prison.
"I'm sorry, Aichi sama. Judgement!" Gaillard shouted, as the blue flames erupted from the floor and enveloped Aichi, who screamed in agony. Kai hated the sound of him screaming, but he was joyous, not even trying to hide the smile on his face, as his mates behind him celebrated.
Kai closed his eyes as he imagined what would happen. Everyone going back to their daily lives, playing vanguard.
Maybe even confess his love to Aichi.
The flames died away as the bluenette collapsed on the floor, with many brutal looking burns, his general outfit ripped and burned. The Quatre Knights ran over to the boy and helped him up.
"Aichi..." Kai murmured, looking at the boy. His eyes were closed, perhaps he was unconscious.
"Aichi sama! Are you alright?!" Neve cried shaking him harshly.
"I'm fine, Neve." The bluenette murmured. "I've experienced worse pain than this." With that, he got up, eyes still closed.
"Isn't it great, Aichi?! We can go back to the club, just like good 'ol times!" Naoki cheered, looking very happy, which quickly changed when Aichi responded
"No."
They all froze, and the Quatre Knights looked relieved. They backed away from Aichi as he finally opened his eyes.
His forehead was dull, eyes hollow and foggy, and two red marks spilled out from his eyes.
As if he was crying blood.
"No..." Kai whispered in horror, backing away. Aichi gave him a menacing smile.
"What's wrong, Kai kun? You seemed very confident a second ago. Where did that confidence go?" Aichi sneered, tipping his head, widening his eyes, which made him look disturbing.
"I... I beat you... You're still reversed..." Kai croaked. This couldn't be real. It was like Aichi telling Kai that he didn't love the brunette.
It was.
"Reversed? I prefer the word locked." Aichi chuckled. "By none other than..." He pointed a menacing finger in front of him.
"You."
Kai widened his eyes in horror, and Aichi smiled.
"I... Locked you?" Kai whispered hoarsely. He couldn't take it anymore. This was too much.
Aichi just smiled, and pulled out his deck.
"Let's try this one more time, Kai kun- No..."
