Word count: 544
This is so me. I tell myself that I will write my assignments on the first days and I always end up writing it on the last two days...a pretty bad habit but I skip from fandom to fandom right now. And I have no good idea for anything...at the moment I'm more into Z Nation, Awkward, South Park and Suicide Room. And I'm currently working on my Cosplays for the next two conventions in may. BUT I still wrote it! :D And I got a nice idea (at least in my opinion).
The first days without him were the hardest. He did not sleep, not even for a nap. He spent more and more time in the shop and tried to drown himself in work. It worked, for a week. He began to hallucinate, seeing impossible things. Even for a wizard. His family were grieving differently but for them it was a different kind of loss. His other half was missing and for them it was just a brother or their son. But for him it was half of his soul which was missing and nobody could understand this feeling, not even for a bit.
He would have sacrificed his other ear, even his legs and arms if Fred would just be alive. George even asked Harry where he lost the resurrection stone to get his twin back! But he did not want to tell him. Told him that it would not be the same. But that did not matter for him! Nobody understood how he was feeling.
After two months Bill decided to pay his brother a visit. Probably the best idea he ever had. The flat above the shop was chaotic. Empty pizza boxes, energy drinks and trash everywhere. George was still in bed, the blinds were down but he was awake. A pullover with the letter 'F' was next to him. Freds pullover, of course.
"George...?"
The blanket moved and he could see his whole head. He was shocked how his little brother looked like. Huge bags were under his red and swollen eyes, his face was pale and he trembled. Nobody saw him since the end of the war and it was a mistake to leave him alone like this. But it was hard to think about what to do with him. The remaining twin was never sad before and nobody knew how to handle the situation.
"Tell me how long you did not sleep...you look.."
"Terrible, I know..."
Bill sat down and stroked through the red hair. He should have visited him sooner but Fleur and the rest of his family needed him as well. He was the oldest brother and he had duties.
"No, just...tired and pale.."
Georges lower lip began to tremble and he began to sob again. Without hesitation his older brother hugged him and let him cry. He knew that George could need some company and maybe his little brother could sleep. Bill would stay as long as it was necessary. But after one hour George was still awake and both knew that the twin needed to sleep. Luckily Bill knew that his brother did not sleep at all. He took a small bottle out of his bag and opened it. Maybe George would refuse to drink but he was too weak to fight against him.
"It's just a sleeping draught, it will help you. Believe me...I would never hurt you, Georgie..."
Luckily he did not complain and drank the whole bottle. And after a few minutes he was asleep, finally. After three months it was the first time that he could sleep. With a potion but he was still sleeping. Bill stayed with him the whole time, stroking through the short hair. They could clean the mess later, it was important that George was asleep.
