Berryspeck

I needed a break from Clan life. I had no intentions of leaving, mind you, but I wanted a breather. I figured I could go off for a bit and return later. I would stay within Clan territory, of course. Anything outside the territory was too far away. I needed to be able to be back in a flash on the off-chance that there was an attack on the Clan.

Slowly making my way out and about, I made note of everything I saw. There was a patch of trees before I took a right turn. There was a huge rock before I went left. I was one of the newer warriors, so I wasn't very good at navigating the territory. I had to use landmarks, and I used them well.

After a while I saw some odd figures. I recognized them to be the famed "Twolegs" that so many discussed. Being a rational cat, I climbed a tree. Not being a rational cat, I scrambled up instead of climbing up slowly. One of the creatures' heads turned towards me and I climbed faster. It ran over to me before I could escape and picked me up. "Hey there, poor little stray. You ok?"

What is this thing trying to say to me? I yowled and hissed and scratched, but the thing just casually put me in the worst place in the world- a cage. It looked over at the other Twolegs for approval and then put me in a monster. I started yowling, horrified, when we approached the monster, but the Twolegs didn't care. He chucked me in it and I cowered in my cage.

I stayed there for what must've been hours before the things started the monster. I couldn't find a way out of the cage no matter how hard I tried. I heard the growl of the monster and saw the forest disappearing behind me. I guess I'm gonna get a break.

We travelled a long ways before we finally stopped and the monster fell asleep. I shook when the Twolegs approached me, but being in a Twolegs arms was better than being inside a monster. It picked me up and put me in its nest. I ran for the exit, but it shut the wall on me. What the heck?

The Twolegs tried to show me some food, but I ignored it. That stuff was disgusting. The Twolegs also tried to show me a box of sand, but I didn't need that, either. I could see an opening in the wall behind the Twolegs, and I knew I had to get there. I faked my interest in a toy the Twolegs offered me and waited for it to turn its back. It petted me for a while before leaving, presumably to get me some water. I took that time to run out of the opening in the wall.

I found myself transported to a strange new world. I was surrounded by Twolegs nests, and I was on a Thunderpath. I walked around aimlessly until I found a less densely inhabited part of the land. I couldn't see any trees in the world. I couldn't even see a field. I was surrounded by Twolegs life and stuff. There was no way I could ever get back to my Clan. I was lost.
