She was sat on her large couch, infront of the roaring fire. Tucked under a warm fluffy blanket, she swore she was never warm in the winter.
But, he always was. His hands were always warm when they grabbed hers and perfectly interlocked with her fingers. And he never failed to make a funny little comment about it, goodness love you really are an icicle.
His arms were especially warm when they would wrap around her waist and pull her close. He did it just that morning, coming up behind her and pulling her into his embrace. He nuzzled her neck and said his hello, in his sleep filled, husky morning voice. It made her melt every time.
She swore his whole body was warm. It was certainly the only thing that kept her warm at night. Some of her favourite moments were when he would reach across the bed for her. He would pull her to him and sigh contently.
And his lips, oh his lips were definitely warm. They had taken her breath away more times then she could count. She still remebered their first kiss. He leaned forward and brushed his lips against hers and she swore it was magic. Her entire body had tingled with excitement and was left wanting more.
She sighed, wishing her lovingly warm boyfriend would be home soon. She always felt better when he was around.
Then the door clicked open, "Rose?"
"In the living room Scor," came her reply.
She heard him drop his bag and coat, then clumsily kick off his shoes. Before, heading in her direction. She instinctively looked to the doorway he would soon be entering.
His blonde hair was wind swept and his pale skin was lightly flushed pink from the cold. Rose thought she had never seen him look more attractive. But, she thought this almost every time she seen him. So, her judgement might not want to be trusted.
"I missed you today," she told him.
He grined at her, "I missed you too love."
She swore that grin should be made illegal. It made her stomach flutter even after being in a relationship for four years. Scorpious knew this and sometimes used it to his advantage.
He moved from the doorway and towards her spot on the couch. Her curly, red hair was in a messy bun. It was, as always, held together by her wand. The fires light was dancing across her tanned skin. He thought it made her look as if she was glowing. Her eyes were a bright deep blue, and her lips were a rosy pink. In his mind, there was no woman more beautiful then her.
She lifted her legs so he could sit, then placed them over his lap. He sat with one arm layed over her legs while the other was placed comfortably on the back of the couch.
He leaned toward her and pecked her lips with a kiss. He pulled back and stayed just a breath away. "I really did miss you today."
She just smiled at him, not trusting her words to truly convey how she felt.
He straighted his spine and leaned his head back against the couch. Letting out a breath, he didn't know he was holding in.
"Tuff day at work?" He could hear the slight worry in her words and it made him love her even more.
"Yeah, well no. It was just long and tiring."
She hummed in understanding and moved so she was fully in his lap.
He automatically wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her closer to his chest. Allowing her to lay her head on his shoulder and nuzzle his neck.
"You're always warm," she said after a minute of silence.
"And you're always cold, love," Scorpious replied.
"Yeah, but I got you to keep me warm.
He chuckled and said, "you always will."
