North was standing in the Globe Room, staring at the bright lights shining on the globe itself. It seemed to be a lot brighter now than it usually was, meaning there were some extra believers out there nowadays. It always made the man the kids knew as Santa Claus smile. He let out a light 'ho ho ho', letting the sight please him even if for a small moment, before feeling a chill go down his spine.
And this wasn't Jack's cold breeze. It was more sinister, creepy almost. It felt like death's warning.
He took a deep breath before slowly turning around.
There he saw a young female figure covered in a deep blood red cloak, with some strands of her midnight hair falling out of the hood. Her right arm seemed to have been on her stomach as her breathing was heavy and staggered, like she was in pain.
"N-Nor-th?" She spoke weakly as she fell to knees, reaching out her free arm and hand to stop herself from falling any further to the floor. The Guardian of Wonder rushed up to her and knelt beside her at a fast pace. He immediately saw the blood dripping from the hand that was on her stomach to the floor, and tried his best not to worry her.
"Grimhilde," He began, "what happened?"
"Sh-she's a-awa-kened." North perked up at this statement as he looked at the glowing grey eyes under Grimhilde's bangs. "I-I tried to st-stop h-her...but sh-she was t-too st-strong."
"It's okay, Grim," He started again, holding her hand tighter against her wound. "It's okay." He then took a quick glance away towards the panel in front of the globe. The lever that summoned the other Guardians in his sight.
I need to warn the others, North thought. They need to know what's happening.
OOOOOOO
(SONG: "Yasashii Kibou" — Snow White with the Red Hair OP1 — Lucinda E. English cover)
YOUNG GUARDIANS
At the beginning it all seemed so unclear/I try to speak fluidly but lose my words/the things that I want to say/get tangled up and fade away/in the end/does it seem like I have a voice/counting to three/I start to breathe/hoping that these tender feelings I hold dear/can stay till the end!
Can you see me here/in this place where I'm making my own way/as I draw my plans into the sky/will they reach to you/today I will hope/that I'll come home to you with open arms and rejoice/ah/and you'll smile/just like I always knew you would/I know/I know it!

Episode 1 - Pilot
OOOOOOO
The sun shined down on Burgess, making it another beautiful new day for the young boys and girls playing in the grass. Oriana Heat(Ori-ONA), the Spirit of Summer herself, stood on a tree branch in a close by park. She smiled as her gold hair blew in the cool breeze that drifted throughout the air.
"I'd have to say this is the most beautiful day I've created," She spoke with her Scottish accent and as a giggle escaped her peach lips. After a while, she hopped down from the branch and directed some of the sunlight onto a patch of shade to make a few daffodils grow.
"Enjoying the summer, Ana?" A voice spoke, making Oriana freeze as a chill went down her spine...literally. She turned towards the source and saw the infamous Jack Frost floating in the air in front of her, while leaning against is Shepard's crook staff.
"Jack Frost! You know not to be in the same place as me!" The young Summer Spirit yelled as Jack landed on the ground after a while and looked at the dark brown eyes of Oriana. "I swear, if you cause a blizzard-"
"I won't!" Jack interrupted with a sigh. "I promise."
Oriana gave Jack that glare he knew meant to leave her presence, but it was gone as soon as it came. "Alright," She started, "I'll trust you. But if I see the tiniest snowflake-" As if on cue, a little snowflake appeared in front of her face, making her already dark brown eyes go darker in anger.
"Uh, that's not mine," He started as he looked around, before noticing the Northern Lights in the daytime sky. "And that's my cue. Later, Ana!" With that, Jack leaped into the air and flew towards the North Pole, making Oriana calm down and look at the lights in worry.
"North never calls the Guardians during the day," She spoke. "Something must be up." She closed her eyes and let a swirl of flames wrap around herself with quick succession, before she disappeared from Burgess.
OOOOOOO
"Crystal Marie, get your butt out here!" A young girl with brown hair called from the grass outside, making the white haired 15-year-old rush out of the orphanage quickly. She looked at her friend before hopping off the patio.
"I'm coming!" The girl, Crystal, yelled as she ran up to her friend. "You need to chill sometimes, Kelly."
"What can I say? I'm impatient!" Kelly exclaimed back, making Crystal giggle before they walked towards the park together. Kelly Tailor was Crystal's friend from school. They grew up from fourth grade to now, making them best friends. And with both of them having left their middle school, they were now getting ready for their freshmen year at Rosewood Prep, a private school for specially gifted children, and boy was Crystal Marie a special one.
For starters, she always had an amazing singing voice and was always the lead in every school play. She was the captain of their Glee Club at Burgess Middle School, and was hoping to make captain at Rosewood Prep.
Not only was she talented, but she was also a very beautiful young woman for her age. Every boy she knew back in middle school would have asked her out just for her looks and would want only one thing from her. But she learned from her foster mother to wait. It wasn't worth it unless you were married. So that's what Crystal did. She turned down each offer, except maybe for a choice few, and would cut it off the moment things got difficult or heated. Besides, there was already someone she was interested in, who was the only boy in school who hadn't asked her out.
As the two walked down the sidewalk, towards the park, a few boys would whistle and stare at Crystal. Kelly, on the other hand, just looked annoyed as she took a quick glance at her friend.
"You seem to be some eye candy there," She spoke, making the white haired teen look at her friend again.
"Yeah, I guess you could say that," Crystal said as she looked away, her long ponytail swinging onto her shoulder. "But they're all looking for one thing, and I'd rather wait."
"Good choice," Kelly said with a smirk as they walked through the entrance of the park, immediately seeing their mutual best friend sitting on a bench. Crystal could see his brown eyes reading over a book while his 12-year-old sister hung out with some friends of hers.
"Jamie!" Kelly called out, making the boy look up at the source and smile when he saw them. Jamie Bennett was now 16, who grew up to become a very handsome young man. His hair was the same as it was when Crystal first met him: messily unkept. It did, however, look somewhat neater than she remembered.
He closed his book with a bookmark saving his place and stood up. He walked up to them, with a smile still on his face. "Hey guys," He said as he looked between the two.
"Hey James," Kelly said with a giggle. It wasn't your flirtatious kind of giggle, but one of a cute girl just being silly.
"Could you stop calling me that?" Jamie said with a sigh as he looked at Crystal. "How you doing, Crys?"
"I'm good, Jay," Crystal answered. Now that was a nickname he didn't mind. "Seems a little cold today."
"Are you kidding?!" Kelly exclaimed with surprise. "It's like 100 degrees out here!"
"She's always been cold, Kelly," Jamie said with a grin. "Just let her be."
"Alright, fine. I'll drop it." Crystal giggled at Kelly's antics before feeling a sinister chill go down her back. She looked around for it, seeing nothing out of the ordinary before she spotted Sophie Bennett, Jamie's sister, laughing and having fun with her friends. With that, she smiled and looked back at her own friends. The chill disappearing immediately after she did so.
OOOOOOO
North paced back and forth in front of the Globe, before hearing Bunny hop in from one of his holes, and Tooth fly in from the opened window. Sandy quickly flew in on a golden sand cloud while Jack flew in through the same window as Tooth. North looked at them, forlorn and sorrow in his eyes before he looked right at Jack when he landed on the floor.
"What did I do?" Jack asked, confused as to why he was being stared at.
"What do you remember, Jack? Of your past," North finally spoke, making the others look at the Winter Spirit.
"Well, I remember my mom, my dad, and my friends," Jack began before he snapped his fingers as he remembered something, "oh! And my little sister, Flee! Why?"
"I'm glad she's remembered," A silky, yet pathetic, sounding voice spoke, making Jack turn around to see Grimhilde, still holding a hand to her stomach. The blood had stopped dripping at this point. "She went through a traumatic death, from what I remember."
"Grimhilde!?" Tooth yelled as she flew up to the young spirit. "What happened!?"
"A fight that I wish I was never apart of," Grimhilde answered as she released her wound, closing her eyes in the process, before it closed up properly. She opened her grey eyes back up, and looked at Jack. She walked up to him and grinned before going further passed him.
"I'm sorry," He began as he followed her movements by turning towards her again, "but who are you?"
"The name's Grimhilde," She began, stopping next to North and turning back to the others, "I'm the Spirit of Death, or otherwise known as the Grim Reaper." She looked back at Jack, sorrow in her eyes. "What about your life before you became a Guardian?"
Jack stared at her for a moment, seeming to see someone of familiarity in the shape of her eyes. However, he just shook it off and thought for a moment, sighing as he did remember something.
"I do remember Iris," He spoke, making all of their heads hang in sorrow and grief. "I met her when she was only 16, still a princess."
"May she rest in peace," Tooth spoke as Sandy nodded. However, Grimhilde just looked at Jack, no emotion towards the mention of the Snow Queen she knew well.
"I remember she wanted to tell me something in 2005, before her coronation. But something must've happened and made her forget." Jack continued with a sigh of sorrow as he leaned against his staff.
"Anything else?" Grimhilde asked, making Jack look at her once more. He went to say something about how they were together for four years before he left to make it be winter in other countries, when Bunny interrupted him and blurted out a complaint.
"What does Jack remembering his life have anything to do with us being here, mate!?" Grimhilde flashed her now glowing red eyes towards Bunny, making him back off at that and the moments unfold as her eyes turned grey once again.
"To answer that question, Bunny, it's simple," She began, "we needed to know if he remembers a certain...Dark Winter."
"Dark Winter?" Jack asked confused as he looked at the others. Apparently, they got what Grimhilde was saying.
"Are you saying SHE's awakened?!" Tooth asked out of worry.
"Who?" Jack asked, only to be interrupted.
"I'm afraid she is," Grimhilde spoke.
"Who?"
"How is she bloody alive to begin with!?" Bunny yelled. "I thought Iris took care of her!"
"Who?"
"It has been 12 years since her attack on the Snow Palace," Tooth began, "and 7 since Pitch! I thought we had peace for once!"
"GUYS!" Jack yelled, making them all look at him with wonder. "Who are you talking about?"
"Blanca Storm," Bunny exclaimed, seeming more irritated than angry.
"Who's she?" Jack asked.
"She's a vicious woman," Grimhilde said as she walked up to him, stopping only about 5 feet in front of him. "She's the reason the Snow Queen is gone, and her kingdom in eternal slumber."
"And somehow she woke herself to cause havoc once again," North declared with a sigh, before the light from the Man in the Moon shined down on them. They all looked at the source before four different parts of the floor opened up, making Bunny look on in surprise. Even Tooth and Sandy looked dumbfounded.
"What's happening?" Jack asked, yet again, confused.
"Manny...he," North began as Grimhilde turned around while four different colored gems rose up from those same little holes. "He's chosen Seasonal Guardians."
"Seasonal Guardians?" Jack asked as he noticed the icy blue gem rise up. "Am I one of them?"
"No, you're needed as the Guardian of Fun," Grimhilde said as the gems showed their respective person immediately.
The red one showed the figure of Oriana Heat, with a ribbon of flames around her.
"Whoever the Winter Spirit is for this," Bunny began with a whistle, "good luck."
The pink one showed another young girl with waist length curly, wavy pink hair and wearing what looked to be a traditional Chinese kimono in the same shades, maybe with some shades darker and lighter, as it hung off her shoulders a bit.
The black one showed, yet, another girl with long bright pumpkin orange hair that stopped just below her butt, while wearing an all black gown that hugged her body, showing off her curves, with a sheath full of arrows and a bow strapped to her back. She even hand bracers on both her wrists.
"Malvado," North said through gritted teeth.
"She must not be well liked, either?" Jack concluded, taking it from North's attitude at the moment.
"You could say that, mate," Bunny retorted as he stared daggers at the image. "Her full name is Malvado Black."
"Black?!" Jack yelled. "As in-!"
"Yep," Tooth began, "Pitch Black's sister."
However, the girl in the icy blue crystal stopped their gaze on the black gem, and surprised them. She looked almost identical to Iris in the facial shape and the eyes. But she had long (passed her butt long) hair that was up in a high cheer ponytail.
Unlike the others in their gems, however, she wore what seemed to be a school uniform for the same school Jamie was attending next year, only in the female version. She also had a stream of snowflakes and ice going around her from her opened right hand, palm up, to her feet. She just smiled towards them, a big pearly white smile and mischief in her eyes. Immediately, Jack knew what Iris wanted to tell him at her coronation in 2005...
...he was a father.
OOOOOOO
Crystal swung gently on the swing, while laughing at some of Jamie's stories from his childhood. He even told them about when he helped defeat the Boogeyman. This one intrigued the white haired female. Somehow, he sounded familiar.
"The Boogeyman? Really, Jamie?!" Kelly exclaimed with disbelief.
"Yes really! I was 9!" Jamie exclaimed back.
"You told me about that!" Crystal stated in return. "We met a month after that story took place!"
"Yeah!"
"Oh, please!" Kelly exclaimed as she crossed her legs while on the other swing. Jamie was sitting on a rock near them. "The Boogeyman doesn't exist!"
"Kelly," Crystal began to complain, before an idea came to her mind. She smirked over to Jamie, who seemed to know what she was up to, and discreetly moved her folded fist from the swing's chain, and shot a piece of ice at Kelly, letting it bounce off the pole beside her.
Kelly screeched before glaring at Crystal. "Crystal Marie!" She yelled, making both Jamie and Crystal laugh their butts off. "I don't know how, but you and that magic!"
"Oh, come on! You have to admit it's pretty cool!" Crystal exclaimed.
"Hopefully pun not intended, but yeah," Kelly agreed before smiling at her friends like she knew why the snow-bird beside her did that. "Trying to make me believe in Jack Frost now, too?" Crystal, for some reason, tensed at that name. For reasons she didn't know. Jamie had noticed this and reached out, touching her cold hand. She looked at his brown eyes before grinning at him as he gave her hand a gentle squeeze and released it.
"Oh, could you two just kiss already!?" Kelly yelled, making Jamie snort and Crystal to blush a deep red. And with her having such pale skin like a porcelain doll, it must have showed. But the others didn't mention it.
Truth was, Crystal did have a huge crush on Jamie. He was the boy she was waiting to ask her out on a date. The boy she had fallen for since day one of their friendship. He was always so caring and sweet, he made her feel like she had a real home. She may have been only 15, but she knew in her heart of hearts, Jamie had to have been the one. He had to be.
"Room for a fourth member of the group?" A voice spoke, making Jamie perk up and stand up quickly before spinning around to see Jack Frost standing there against a tree.
"Jack!" Jamie called, making Kelly roll her eyes.
"Why would Jack Frost be-?" She began before hearing Crystal stand up from her swing and looked at her. "Crystal, what is it?"
Crystal didn't speak though. She just stood there, staring at the white haired man before them in complete shock. Jamie had told her stories of Jack Frost, which kind of made her a believer. But, unfortunately, she never saw him. Still, she kept the belief in case one day she would see him. And here he was, standing before her in his bare feet, brown pants, and royal blue hoodie with the frost pattern decorated the edges of the hood and pocket.
Jack, however excited to see Jamie's smiling face, couldn't help but look right back at Crystal. Her lilac eyes, her snow white hair, her posture of a noble. There was no doubt in his mind that she was who he needed to retrieve. Who knew she was friends with Jamie, He thought to himself as he grinned at her and nodded as a hello.
"Jack, what are you doing here?" Jamie asked with excitement, making Jack look back at him. "It's summer right now!"
Jack knew better than to leave Jamie in the dark in case any new threat came to light. So he just took a deep breath, and told the truth. "The Guardians need help. A new threat has awakened."
"What new threat?" Jamie asked. "Is it Pitch?"
"No, thank God," Jack began, before catching a glimpse of Crystal, "but it's something more powerful."
"Jamie, this is ridiculous!" Kelly yelled as she stood up and walked forward, standing next to him. "No one's there!"
"Kelly, enough!" Crystal yelled as little snowflakes appeared out of nowhere around her.
"No! I'm not dropping this!" Kelly yelled back to her friend, before looking at Jamie again. "Jack Frost isn't real!"
"Enough," Crystal spoke quietly.
"He isn't real! He never was, and he never will be!"
"I said, ENOUGH!" Crystal yelled as she threw her hand out and made a small icicle shoot out. It ended up hitting Kelly in the arm, making her fall down as she grabbed the spot the ice hit. Jack lunged forward and knelt beside the brunette girl as Jamie turned to Crystal with surprise.
Crystal could only stand there in surprise as she looked at her hands, fear coursing through her as a tear went to fall down her cheek. "Kelly, I'm so sorry!" She quickly knelt beside her friend and helped her sit up slowly. "I don't know what came over me!"
"It's fine, Crys," Kelly said with a wince, as a piece of her brown hair turned white. "I was provoking someone you cared about, something you believed in...I deserved it."
"You okay, Kelly?" Jamie asked as Crystal helped her stand up, with Jack just standing up in the process.
"I'm fine. Just a bit sore," Kelly answered with a grin before grabbing Crystal's hand and giving it a slight squeeze of reassurance. Crystal just grinned at her, knowing they were still friends, until the sound of laughter entered the air. Jack was quick to react.
"Jack?" Jamie asked, making Kelly look where Jamie was and almost pass out. She could see the Winter Spirit now. "What was that?"
"That was the new threat most likely," Jack answered, as he got his staff at the ready in case the figure decided to attack.
"Need a hand, Mr. Frost?" Crystal asked as she threw out her hand and made a sword of ice and snow appear in her palm. Jack just looked at her and grinned with pride.
"I could use one, yeah," He answered. "And please, call me Jack."
"As you wish," Crystal answered before black snow and ice flew through the air and spiraled in one place before bursting through the air, making Sophie and her friends scream and run away.
"Sophie, over here!" Jamie called as his 12-year-old sister ran up to him and hid as her friends ran away out of the park all together. They all stared at the figure before them, with long white hair in a single braid behind her back, piercing red eyes, and in an all black and white gown.
"You'll need more than just this little girl to help you, Jackie," She said with a giggle. "Oh, it's been so long, dear. How have you been?"
"I was fine until you showed up!" Jack yelled as he rushed in front of Jamie and his friends. "Who are you?"
"I thought Iris told you about me."
"Who's Iris?" Crystal asked as she looked at Jack.
"No time to explain," Jack said as he aimed his staff at the woman.
"Oh, but there is," The woman began, looking right at the lilac eyes of Crystal. "You see, dear, Iris was the Crown Princess of Winter...my older sister." Jack's eyes widen at hearing this. "And from the looks of it, she never told Mr. Jack Frost about me at all."
"She never mentioned her family. She said as long as she had me, she was content with her life!" Jack yelled with surprise obviously tainting his voice.
"Oh, I believe it," she said in return. "But, since she hadn't, I guess introductions are needed." She coughed a bit to get the air bubbles out of her throat and looked right at Jack again. "I'm Blanca Storm, the Second Princess of Winter."
"So you're Blanca," Jack said with scoff. "I should have guessed."
"Yeah, you should have!" Blanca yelled. "Man, I hated her."
"What do you want, witch?!" Crystal yelled as she aimed her sword at the woman. Blanca looked at her and grimaced at the sight of the young teen. She looked too much like her sister.
"What I want, is you...to PERISH!" Blanca immediately after threw a firy red snowball at Crystal, who expertly made a shield of ice form in front of her as the snowball bounced right off. "Dang it."
"Nice move," Jack said with pride.
"Thanks. Been practicing," Crystal answered with a smile. "I mean, what else am I to do when I have no other friends but Jamie and Kelly?"
"She has a point!" Kelly exclaimed from behind them, with a quiver of fear in her voice.
"You're just like your mo-" Blanca began to say before a boomerang flew through the air and hit the wicked woman in the arm, making her fall back as the boomerang flew back to Bunny who was standing beside Jack now.
"Bunny!" Sophie yelled with excitement. "Oh, I'm so glad to see you!"
Bunny looked at Sophie and smiled at her with his own excitement before looking back at Blanca with venom in his green eyes.
"You have some nerve to show up like this, mate," He said. "What are you trying to do? Huh?"
"What do you think!?" Blanca yelled. "I'm wanting the throne to my kingdom! And I can't have it with this little brat in my way!"
"What?" Crystal asked confused.
"Tough luck, Blanca," Jack began, "The Snow Queen's kingdom is frozen in eternal sleep until an heir shows up."
"I know! I've tried going and resurrecting it myself, but it didn't work!" Blanca yelled as she stood up, anger now painted on her face. "But would you know it, to my surprise, I find out she got knocked up and had an heir, kicking me to the curb!"
Crystal froze at this knowledge. Was this true? Was she the heir to a kingdom she didn't know about? Was she really a princess tried and true? Was this all real?
"Good thing too," Bunny began, "if she hadn't, we'd be subjected to your wicked rule!"
"Just watch your back," Blanca began again, letting black ice and snow swarm around her, "Princess Crystal." And with that, the wicked woman was gone.
Crystal stood there shocked, making Jack look at her with worry that she would pass out at any moment. Thankfully, she never did, but she did have a look of pure shock and horror on her face.
"Me?" She asked surprised. "A princess?"
OOOOOOO
Blanca stared through her magic mirror at Crystal, standing there next to Jack and Jamie, who were doing their best to comfort her. The wicked woman grimaced as she saw the lilac eyes of the white haired teen. Seeing them reminded her of her older sister. She was about to go mad, when she noticed Jack, being like how any father would with their child. He seemed sad, but happy all at the same time.
"Has he not told her yet?" She asked out loud before looking back at Crystal. "I mean, she must be stupid enough not to know already."
