BioShock – New Rapture

Chapter One – The Bathysphere (2018, pacific coast)

Vroom the car went as I parked the car by the bathysphere station.

"Dude, this is going to be epic. Moving to a city underwater, that is," my friend Cody said.

"I know, right? It's said that it was built atop another underwater city that was sent into anarchy and ruin due to an invention. They actually named it after that city," my other friend, Joe, said. "It was made by the son of the maker of the old city."

"Yeah, New Rapture must be an epic city with that kind of history," I said.

"So, Austin, what are you going to do once we get in there?" Cody said.

"Probably just going to unpack my stuff, go to a bar, and hang with the ladies!" I said. Hey, what else should I do?

"Good plan. Just, don't get drunk," Joe said.

We laughed as we got our stuff out of the car and headed into the bathysphere station. As we approached the bathysphere, we saw a flat-screen TV on the wall. A man appeared on it and said,

"Welcome, young men. I am the founder of the city you are about to enter, my name is Jack Ryan, and I would like to ask you something. Would you like it if everything you invented was taken away? If all your hard work was whisked away by the men of the state? Well, that will not happen here. Though you should still follow SOME sort of ethics for anything you make, in this city your work will not be repossessed, your life of creativity will not be wasted, and you will not be disappointed. This city is New Rapture." Live footage of the city was shown on the TV. "Here, you can do what you want, when you want, where you want. That is all that the city is meant for. Now, I will try and not let the events of the old Rapture not repeat, but I make no promises." We laughed, and he said, "If you just laughed, I was serious. Now, what are you waiting for? Hop in!" We smiled and ran into the bathysphere. We all took hold of the lever, and pulled it. The door closed behind us, and we started to sink down below the sea. We saw the beautiful city up close and personal. We entered the city…
