Chapter 1
Spencer Hastings had just moved into the neighborhood a few months ago. She started to attend Rosewood High School and made some amazing friends, Aria, Hanna, and Emily. Everything seemed to be going perfect. The only thing missing was a boy to spend some time with.
Spencer was known to be extremely picky when it came to guys. She was jealous that Hanna had Caleb, Aria had Ezra and Emily has Paige. Now it wasn't like Spencer wasn't seeing anyone. She was enjoying the company of a doctor named Wren. Sure he was a doctor, handsome and treated her well. There was just something missing. She could tell he wanted to take their dating to a new level, but Spencer being a virgin didn't want to take the next step.
Spencer moved into town just as the drama of Allison DiLaurentis was occurring. She heard all sorts of theories. The idea that a FBI agent had killed her because she was pregnant with his child, a police officer names Garrett killed her and the most commonly used theory was a boy named Toby Cavanaugh did her in. This made Spencer uneasy since Toby lived a few doors down from her. However she had only seem him a couple of times doing some yard work or reading on the porch.
Spencer felt kind of creepy but she would often watched Toby from her window while he was outside. He was beautiful to say the least. He was lean but built, six pack abs, dark hair, over 6 foot tall, and gorgeous blue eyes. She never saw Toby talk to anyone much, I guess thats what happens when everyone thinks your a killer. Everything seemed to be going smooth until Spencer decided to take a walk one night.
