A/N: Lately I have spent many hours in my car listening to the Imagine Dragons' debut album. I'm loving it! Anyway, I was inspired by the first song off the album, and this is what came of it.

Discalimer: I own nothing. Stargate Atlantis is the property of MGM, etc. I also want to thank Imagine Dragons for writing "Radioactive," a brilliant song that inspired me to write this entry.

The sun was bright as it dappled through the trees above, the leaves rustling in the gentle breeze and cooling his overheated skin.

He leaned his head back against the tree, and closed his eyes. He took in a shaky breathe, and let it out as the euphoric sensations washed over him.

After a few moments, he opened his eyes and smiled. Gazing around with new clarity, hyper aware of each movement in the deserted forest, he felt a renewed sense of strength seep back into his bones. It was almost like waking up after a really good night of sleep.

Only he hadn't just woken up. Not really anyway.

In fact, he couldn't remember the last time he'd gotten more than a few hours of sleep. The Wraith enzyme pumping through his system made sleep virtually unnecessary.

This was the future, he thought. This was the next step for the human race. To become stronger, faster, better. Like the 6 million dollar man, only without all the machinery. Instead, the enzyme produced a powerful form of energy that made him dangerous to the enemy; his prey. It was akin to being radioactive without the uranium or carbon 14.

No, this was better. Way better.

With a smile on his face, Aiden Ford hopped to his feet. It was time to renew his supply. It was time to reap the harvest. He laughed at the irony in the thought on his way back to the stolen jumper.

It was time to go.

End.
