Happy Valentines day xoxo 3
As the group sat around the campfire, they decide to have a game of truths. It was Daryl's turn and the rest of the group went off to discuss what to ask him.
When the group returned they asked him the question " Who was the first person you ever had a crush on"
To which he replied " When I was in 3rd grade, there was a girl named Carol. I didn't know her real name until I gave her a flower I found. A Cherokee Rose. Until then I had called her Miss Blue Eyes. She had the most beautiful eyes. They were blue and blue was my favourite colour. She was the prettiest girl I ever met."
After hearing Daryl's story they decided to ask him what happened to Carol after that.
"She moved to Kentucky and I never saw her again"
The game carried on until it was Daryl's turn again.
"Did you like anyone when you in high school?"
"…There was another girl. Her name was Carol too. She had baby blue eyes and her hair was golden brown. It had the prettiest curls I had ever seen and she worn she beautiful dresses. I gave her a cherokee rose to. But then she moved to Atlanta before I could even ask her out."
"Do you still like them?" Carol, who was sitting next to him ,asked him.
"Yes, it's wasn't too different Carols. It was the same girl, I just lost her. Twice and not doing anything was something I regret."
"Where is she now, Daryl?" It was Andrea who asked this time.
"She's sitting next to me. The only girl I've ever loved. The most beautiful woman in the world. The first and last girl I ever gave the special flower too."
It was such a heart-warming moment and a tear started rolling down Carols right cheek.
"What's the matter?" Daryl asked her.
"I understand now…"
"Understand what?"
"Back at the farm, you gave me a Cherokee rose. It wasn't just for Sophia. You were trying to make me remember you."
Memories of all the times she had met Daryl before the apocalypse flashed through her head. He looked so different. The boy she liked in high school and the man she loved now. Was here. It was the same guy all along. Even better he loved her too.
She faced him and gave him a sweet smile and he gave her a smile too.
"I love you, Daryl Dixon"
"I love you too, Carol Peletier."
And so they kissed and the group finally knew that their love for each other was permanent
