"So... You mean that we will never see you again?" Eddy asks his voice filled with both disappointment and confusion. How could one of his best friends ever be moving away to the city? They could probably never see each other any to be honest. All those years, all those scams, all they beating they took together and all the plans they had for the future, they all meant nothing now.

"That is a possibly sadly as you see father has gotten a new job and a large raise in his check, but atlas the job requires him to leave the cul-de-sac and move to the city." Double Dee sighs shaking his head a didn't want to go, but he couldn't bare being a burden to his dear mother and father. He still had no idea how to break the news to Ed but apart of him hoped Eddy would do it.

"Does that mean I will never see you again Double Dee?" Eddy sighs looking up at his old friend with glassy eyes and a sniffle between his words like one does before they break down in tears. Double Dee however determined to lighten Eddy mood, smiled and shook his head.

"No, you see my parents are not selling this house,so yes, one day I couldn't possibly move back to the cul-de-sac Eddy" Double Dee smiled and looked at the movers packing the rest of his massive book collection in their van. He bit his lip knowing soon his mother who beckon his arrival.

"I just don't understand why you waited so late to tell anyone"Eddy said sadly truly puzzled as to why anyone who alert others to their departement on the day they where leaving, especially their best friend.

"Well, my mother and father told me a week ago, and I was so busy packing and what not that it slipped my mind to be honest. But I wanted to tell you in person so I could thank you both for being a friend and family member when my partners where on vacation. Sadly, Ed is gone to North Dakota to visit relatives for the upcoming holidays and he won't be able to hear this. But, please do tell him I love him and I will miss him as I will you dearly. But a piece of you two I shall carry forever"a tear slipped from Eddward's eye as he began to cry. The cold making each tear feel like an ice cube. Eddy quickly hugged his sobbing friend placing hi head against the taller boy's chest as he tried to calm him down as his own tears released from his eyes. The two boy hugged each other tightly as they sobbed and said their 'I love you's and 'I will miss you's and of course the all famous 'I will never forget you's.

"Eddward son, your mother is all packed and the house is all locked up. Please come get in the SUV so we can get started on the 4 hour drive." Eddward's father called out as he hopped in the black SUV. Edd nodded and pulled away from the smaller boy, still sobbing. He kissed his old friend's cheek as he turned and walked to the automobile. Leaving Eddy to fall to the snow covered ground and cry kneeling down with his arms stretched out.

"I love you Eddy, I promise I will never forget you"

"I..I love you..you too.. Double..Eddward. I love you too. I will..I am going to miss you. I swear I will never forget you or..or the times we had in the pst. And..and even if it..means waiting for the rest of my life..I ...I will wait for you to return.."

Edd got in the SUV and the automobile drive down the street, leaving Eddy alone and cold. He slowly got up and slummed over to his house. Opening the sliding door that lead to his room and closing it shut before jumping on his bed, sobbing.
