"Ugh. I can't stand this."

"Yeah, I'm not too find of Yorkshire pudding, either."

"Not THAT, you git! I'm talking about the extremely obvious pent-up sexual tension going on across this table!"

"Oh. That. Right."

"Just look at the two of them. They're so obvious, and neither of them can recognize it in the other. If his face got any pinker when their hands accidentally brushed over that last omelette-"

"Yeah, you're right. Do you think we should-"

"Interfere? Exactly what I was thinking! They'll never know what hit them. We could find out the perfect secret tactic to getting them together."

"Well... yeah... I was thinking more along the lines of talking to them in private, though."

"Nonsense, Harry. It has to be... more romantic. And sneakier, otherwise they'll get angry with us."

"Erm. I guess so. If you're sure..."

"Of course I'm sure. Don't you realize you're talking to-"

"Yeah, yeah, I know, you're a girl and all. You would know."

"Don't get sarcastic on me, Harry. This is the time for serious action. If we don't get this right, he'll never admit his feelings to her before school ends."

"You underestimate your brother, you know. Hermione's just as bad."

"Eh, but Ron's worse. Besides, girls nearly always wait for the chap to make the first move."

"Oh... um... really? W-what about... you?"

"What ABOUT me?"

"Would you... um... make the first move?"

"Well... I don't really know... but this isn't the time to talk about me. So. What are we going to do?"

"What are you two whispering about?" Ron Weasley, a Sixth Year, looked up from his plate with an inquiring look on his slightly pink face.

"Erm... nothing?" Harry's voice, coming out slightly nervous and somewhat anxious, caught the attention of Hermione Granger, who looked at him sharply.

"Harry and I were just discussing Quidditch tactics, Ron. Stop being so nosy," Ginny said with complete ease. A relieved look passed over Harry's face.

Hermione looked from Harry to Ginny and then back again, confused and, if it wasn't mistaken, annoyed. "Right. Well, I'm going to the common room to prepare for Charms. Coming, Ginny?" She glared at her meaningfully, causing Ginny to drop her cool demeanor to a look of guilt.

"Yeah." She wavedmeekly to Ron and Harry, and, catching Harry's eye for a moment longer in what was supposed to be a message, turned around to follow Hermione out of the Great Hall.
