"Have you ever noticed, Kakashi-san, how much the hair color and eye color of a person reflects them…?"
Kakashi looked over at Iruka, who was leaning against a tree. It was a cool night out and a chill wind blew the clouds over the moon, casting darken shadows at times. The wind smelt of rain.
"Can't say I pay that much attention too it." Kakashi shrugged "Why do you ask?"
Iruka smiled, "I can tell about people by the color of there eyes and hair. Take Naruto, his hair is yellow, a warm and bright color, that can be associated with fire and lightning. Wild and unpredictable is Naruto and burning with desires. His eyes are blue, and they reflect his emotions to a T. As clear and blue as the summer sky when happy, as dark and stormy as the sea when upset and dull as a overcast day when upset. Blue eyes are the easiest to read. Followed by green eyes. Hazel eyes are a little harder to read, but not as hard as brown and silver eyes."
Kakashi raised an Eyebrow. "And you base this theory on watching Naruto?"
Iruka shook his head, "No, I've also watched Sakura-chan, Sasuke-kun, Yondaime-san, and you Kakashi-san."
Kakashi looked curious. "Oh, and your results?"
"Sakura has pink hair which means she is a sensitive person but not to everyone all the time, mainly it's just one person at a time. Her eyes are green, which shows that she is a 'live' person. Always growing from experience.
"Sasuke hair is black, which, surprisingly is a warm color. At least certain shades. He has a dark fire inside him his eyes are also dark in color so they revel more than the other two eyes, but are harder see through the shadows."
Kakashi looked impressed. "Very perceptive. What about Yondaime-sama?"
"His hair is the same as Naruto's but his eyes are shallower. His eyes never seemed to change except with extreme emotion. They were usually a calm blue, like deep water."
"And what about me?" Kakashi asked quietly.
Iruka was silent for a while. Then he went on quietly. "Silver hair means patience, you are very, very patient, but you can also be impatient too. Silver eyes are almost impossible to read because they pick up everyone else's emotions and display them as there own. A hard person to reach indeed but not the hardest, besides," Iruka turned to Kakashi then, "You have one red eye, which reveals all your emotions, so you cover it with a shield of silver." Iruka tapped the Hitai on his own forehead.
Kakashi raised a hand to his own and chuckled. "True, but you said 'not the hardest to reach.' What color is the hardest to reach?"
Iruka smiled a slow smile. "Brown is because it is a 'dead' color. Silver is reflected life, blue is wild life, green is growing life, and black is hidden life. But brown, brown is dead life, when things die they turn brown."
He started to walk away when Kakashi called, "What does that make you then, Sensei?"
Iruka looked over his shoulder, the light from the moon dieing in his eyes, " Dead man walking…" he said as another cloud crossed the moon. When the shadows lightened, Iruka was no where to be seen. Kakashi looked at where Iruka had been and shaking his head, headed home himself.
