Chapter 1 Lily's Choice

>Hey guys, Don't be afraid to tell me it sucks, all that means is that I should delete my current Fic and try again. This is dedicated to my friend Ray, without him I would have given up a long time ago. Okay then, on with the show. Oh and I own nothing. Also, I like to make comments, so when ever you see this little arrow you know that it is me talking and not the story. And by the way, I am Karina from death-curse; I didn't take anything>

Lily never had anything she wanted. Her parents loved her and she made the best grades, but that was not what she wanted. She wanted for people to notice her. She was 11 years old with the most striking features as is possible, but somehow, no boy had ever said more than two words to her. Everyone always ignored her. She tried everything to get someone to notice her, she even started a food fight, but no one cared. The truth was that she had no friends, no enemies, no nothing and as a result; she grew up hardened and alone. By the time she was 11 years old, no one could talk to her, even if they wanted to, because whenever some one tried, she gave them such a cold heartless stare that they didn't think that there was any ice colder than the green ice of Lily's eyes.

One chilly morning in July, Lily's family received a strange letter, from an Owl no less. And if that wasn't weird enough, it was addressed to Lily. "This is amazing, I've never gotten a letter before, I wonder.." She thought, as she carefully removed the wax seal from the parchment envelope.

Dear Ms. Evans,
You have been accepted to Hogwarts School of witchcraft and wizardry. Due to the fact that your family is traditionally non magical, we will be sending a representative to your home at noon today. Please be advised, Ms. Evans, to tell no one except your immediate family. We cannot stress enough the importance of secrecy in this matter. Your supply list is enclosed, we await you response no later than July 31.

Sincerely,
Albus Dumbledore
Headmaster at Hogwarts

The Evans all read the letter, and all sat down an were unable to speak until about 5 till noon when Petunia piped up in her annoying voice," Mom, didn't the letter say someone would be here at noon?"

"Yeah"

"It's almost noon isn't it, mom"

"Yeah"

"So where is the person?"

"Right here" said a man who just appeared in their living room. The man wore a long, shabby robe and had bright orange hair, and small friendly eyes; he looked about 19 years old. "Hello, I'm Arthur Weasley. I am here to escort your daughter, Lily, to Diagon alley to buy her school supplies, provided that she accepts the offer to go to Hogwarts. So what do you say Lily?" said Mr. Weasley. "I accept, " said Lily as she looked at her mom who look at her and nodded as if to say she agreed with Lily's choice. "Good, now that all that is taken care of, let's go. Lily, just take a bit of this green powder, and toss it into the fireplace. Then take another handful with you as you enter the fireplace, say very clearly Diagon alley and you should arrive in a place that looks like a pub. Wait there for me; I have to pop home for a minute, now if Mrs. Evans would please give Lily a little money to be converted into wizard gold, best is off now Lily." Said Mr. Weasley.

Her Dad gave Lily money. She then did as Mr. Weasley told her and with a very clear "Diagon Alley", she vanished from site.

>Well, do ya like it?>
