He kept silent; eyes closed, breathing deep and even, feigning sleep. The opposition remained completely innocent to the trap he was laying. He sensed their approach... could feel the determined intent in their ki.
Slowly they came, advancing quietly on silent feet. Creeping... cautious... wary...
They knew their opponent well.
Closer...
Closer...
He felt them pause, readying themselves for the attack.
Assured of their imminent victory, they sprang forward just as his eyes snapped open.
He was ready for them... or so he thought.
A feeling close to panic engulfed him as he realized he had misjudged his opponents.
They had discovered a weakness.
Overpowered by his assailants, Kenshin began to scream.

Stepping outside the dojo, Kaoru shook her head in amusement at the sight of the red-headed rurouni who had allowed himself to be caught and pinned to the ground by two happily shrieking little girls. The girls were now in the process of tickling their victim into submission.
Laughing helplessly, tears running down his face, the once feared hitokiri was flat on his back, crying for mercy from the ticklish onslaught. Kaoru watched them affectionately, a small wistful smile on her face.
She found herself wishing she could join the assault.

My first random attempt at one of those little drabble-fics... forgive me if it's not very good. It just suddenly and unexpectedly popped into my head a couple nights ago, and bam, there it was. Pointless little thing, but at least I wrote SOMETHING. Writer's block is a complete and total pain. And I've been so worn out lately... (slaps face) Anyway, I hope you find this at least somewhat entertaining.
