There was a battle and then a victory.
There was a speech and then a celebration.
There was an embrace and then a toast.
There was a moment of peace and then a lifetime of pain.
There was a duty to a flag and then a farewell.
There was a hopeful heart and then a despairing soul.
There was a cloven horn and then a body in a boat.
There was a time of sorrow and then a time of hollow acceptance.
There was a day when life was good and then a day when life was not.
There was a cloven horn held in the hand and then a memory.
A memory of love and loss, of battles and broken hearts, of farewells and sad smiles, and of a brother's last words.
"Remember today little brother."
