Thranduil opened his eyes. He didn't recognise the place he was in. He saw a large Labrador type dog stood over him, watching for signs of life.
He then heard a voice in his head. "Stand back everyone, he's waking up". The voice appeared to be coming from the Labrador.
He raised his head and saw several dogs looking at him.
"Let me up and back away from me or I'll throw all of you in the dungeon" he snapped at them all.
A Spaniel put her head over to one side. "What's a dungeon?" he heard her asking the Labrador.
"I don't know Whisper, some sort of human mischief probably. We'll know when or protector arrives" he answered.
Whisper ran over to the bin and knocked it over. "Does the human want to play?" she asked, bringing out a bone that looked like it had been mauled for quite a long time.
Thranduil then saw a pale Labrador appearing on the scene, followed by three puppies.
"Cocoa who is that human?" she asked, before saying to her puppies "Get behind me, humans are dangerous!"
"Sandie, relax!" Cocoa said. "When our protector arrives, we'll get her to ask him who he is and what he's doing here"
Thranduil stood up. "That won't be necessary" he said. "For one thing I am not a human and for another thing I mean you no harm"
Next thing he knew, he was surrounded by the pack of dogs. "We can't let you go until our protector has seen you and decided what to do with you" Cocoa growled.
I will only update this story if I get reviews. I own everything in the story apart from Thranduil, who is owned by Tolkien. The world in this story is not Earth, it's one I created for a story I was writing a few years ago but have long since discontinued.
