(A/N: I saw Next to Normal on Saturday, and it was amazing! I saw Jessica Phillips as Diana and Michael Berry as Dan, and I can't understand why the people next to us considered leaving when they saw that Alice wasn't on—both Jessica and Michael were amazing. And so was the rest of the cast. Just saying. Anyway, onto the story. This is a Revenge Wars story, in which Henry, Natalie, and Gabe help Dan get revenge for Dr. Madden's kissing Diana. The Sound of Revenge
Gabe crawled through the secret tunnel in Dr. Madden's office. At the very end of it, he place two alarm clocks. One was a Star Wars alarm clock that would play the Darth Vader song when it went off, which would be in five minutes. The other was an iHome set to play Poker Face in 13 minutes. Silently, he snuck out the way he had come in, giving Natalie a thumbs-up as she grabbed her two alarm clocks—one that would play Love Story in eight minutes, and one that would play Party in the USA in 24 minutes—and made her way through the secret passage.
"Do you think this is going to work?" Henry worried, wringing his hands. "What if the alarms don't go off? What if I get stuck in the secret passage? What if…"
"It'll work fine," Gabe interrupted. "Stop being so…Henry-ish."
"Yeah, well, you stop being so Gabey!" Henry retorted.
"Both of you stop being idiots," Natalie said as she poked her head out of the secret passage. "Henry, give me your alarm clocks."
Henry handed her the alarm clocks—one with the most obnoxious, shrill ring ever, set to go off in 19 minutes, and another with a song Henry refused to tell anyone one that would play in ten minutes.
When all six alarm clocks had been placed at the end of the secret passage, Gabe said, "Okay. Now we just have to sit and wait."
Dr. Madden was preparing for his meeting with Diana. It was certain to be awkward, but…wait, was that the Darth Vader Theme Song he heard? No, he was pretty sure he was just imagining it. Those kids had cursed him for life with their Star Wars prank. He shook his head.
Diana walked into the office, looking just as awkward as Dr. Madden felt.
"Hello, Diana," Dr. Madden said coolly. "I just wanted to say…er, about the other day…"
Diana opened her mouth to reply, but never got a chance as Love Story started blaring through the room.
"Where is that coming from?" Dr. Madden yelled. He spent a good two minutes searching for it when a new song began. "Wait…is that the Glee version of Don't Stop Believing? Henry must be behind this!"
By this point, Diana had used the alarms as a distraction to slip out from the awkward scene. Dr. Madden hardly noticed that she was gone. He was already beginning to plan his revenge.
