How it all started
Sabrina's POV:
I could hardly breathe. A group of girls had chased me into an alley and beaten me so badly I couldn't move. I tried to call for help, but my voice wouldn't work.
Suddenly, I wanted to jump for joy. I had completely forgotten about the app I had downloaded to my phone, Life360. It was basically a GPS tracking system that connected with other people so they could see where you are. At first, I had refused to download it. I had called it a stalker app. My boyfriend, Puck, had told me that it would help him find me if I was in danger.
I could feel my phone in my pocket. School let out an hour ago, so Puck should be trying to find me soon. I couldn't stop thinking about the threat the leader of their group had said. You're too fat. If you don't lose some weight, we'll do this again, and again, and again. Until you decide to do something about it.
"Sabrina? Are you down here? Please answer!" The sound of Puck's voice was music to my ears. I couldn't speak or move, so he would have to find me on his own. He moved a trashcan and looked in a few other places before he gasped and started running towards me.
"Brina! What happened to you?" he didn't wait for a reply before picking me up and flying to a destination I didn't know.
Puck's POV:
I had to get her to the hospital. Fast. I was flying at full speed, hoping that was fast enough. Who would do this to her? We were homeschooled, so it couldn't be an enemy from school. The Scarlet Hand was defeated years ago, so who did it?
I reached the hospital and ran through the doors. The receptionist didn't wait for me to say anything before calling for a stretcher. She could tell Sabrina's condition by looking at the bruises, scratches, and bloody smears that covered her body.
I laid her on the stretcher and kissed her forehead before she was rushed to the operating room
