Katherine had just returned with the cure. She thought about everything she had gone through that day. The look on Elena's face when she saw Jeremy's fallen body.
'Argghhhhh..' Katherine growled to herself, 'I will never get her to fall in love with me. Unless...' Katherine smiled inwardly, thinking of all the things that she would do to prove the truth. 'Hmmmmm... yes i think this will work,' before setting to work.
At the same time...
I will never forgive Katherine for all the pain she has caused my family. I have no-one left.
"Elena, are you alright?" Damon asked, thoughtlessly.
'Yes, yes of course I'm fine.' I muttered under my breath, sarcastically.
"I'm sorry, that was stupid of me." he replied
'It's ok, can you just take me home. I want to be alone right now to grieve.'
"Are you sure you want to be alone?" Damon inquired softly
'YES!' my patience running out. 'JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!'
Damon, taking the hint, sped up his driving and in what seemed like an age, we arrived outside my house.
"Call me if you need to talk." Damon pleaded
'Yeah, sure whatever.' I turned my back and stormed into the house.
I slammed the door behind me and waited until I heard the sound of the engine fade away. I couldn't take the grief anymore. I ran up the stairs and collapsed onto Jeremy's bed.
I can't do this anymore. I ripped the post off his bed and held the stake in front of my chest. Just as I was about to plunge it into my heart, I heard the window smash and my eyes widened at the sight in front of me. But, it just made me even more determined so I ignored the presence. The figure yelled, 'STOP!' and that was the last thing I heard before everything faded to darkness.
