Bella lives with the Volturi, but as she gets older her and Demetri start getting closer. Aro sends her away to finish school without the distraction that Demetri causes.
She meets the Cullens, but doesn't tell them about her 'family'. Edward is infatuated with her but she doesn't return his affection.
All the students and staff know she's an exchange student from Italy, but they don't know where in Italy.
Right near the end of the school year, the junior class has a "Mystery Tour' lined up in a mystery location for History and Culture class (with bonus credit in Languages for the honour students)
Volturi Castle lets in school tour groups occasionally that have nothing to do with 'lunch' and this month's week-long city and castle tour is Forks High. Everyone is excited to see Bella again, even if its only for the week.
The students learn that their mystery location is somewhere in Italy and the Cullens are wary, Carlisle and Esme offer to help with supervision.
Once at the castle, they're led to the restaurant for lunch (by a newbie). The Cullens are almost panicking coz Bella knows about vamps and they're in the vamp ruler's home.
As everyone's reading over the menus Bella calls over the waitress (another newbie) and orders "GE specials" for the Cullens and something for herself without looking at the menu, in fluent Italian.
After lunch the tour guide (a human who doesn't know enough about the true history) started them in the throne room, know to vamps at the sentencing room and those in the castle as the feeding room.
The Cullens and Bella are the last out of the room, and have been left behind.
On the way out the door Jane scares the shit out of Bella. The Cullens jump in the way to protect her.
Demetri creeps up behind them and steals her, throwing her to Felix.
Bella screams with laughter.
Over-protective and up-tight Edward snatches her and shoves her into a corner, taking a protective stance over her.
Bella talks them all into going back into the throne room to avoid being seen by the rest of the class.
Its nearly lunch time tho and the Cullens get even more nervous having Bella in there with so many hungry vampires.
The brothers come in through the hidden door at the back of the room, Aro storming in asking why a human knows about them and who could be so careless.
Edward is getting pissed off with the way Demetri is picturing Bella and starts to move towards him. Bella uses the gap to escape and runs to Aro, jumping and grabbing him in a hug.
The Cullens are speechless, the rest of the guard is amused.
Edward recovers first and prepares to attack. Before he gets the chance Bella starts introducing them, finishing with Daddy (Aro), Uncle Markus and 'that old uptight thing' Caius.
Demetri finally makes his way back around the Cullens and grabs Bella, giving her a kiss worthy of Rose and Em. As Bella's hand tangle in his hair and she 'climbs' up his body to wrap her legs around his waist there is mix of embarrassed laughter, cheers and one low growl. Edward is really not happy….
