Fíli One-Shot/Imagine Request; Never Notice
By HogwartsDwarfKat
He turns and you catch his eye. He gives you a smile before going back to tell Kíli something. The dark haired dwarf just laughs and shakes his head.
You sigh. 'Will he never notice' you wonder. 'Will he never notice what he does to me? How I stop breathing when he's close to me? That I lose my focus anytime he talks to me? That I'd give anything for him to see me as more than just a member of the quest? More than just the strange girl from an equally if not more strange world?'
You look away from him not wanting to seem like you're staring -even if you were. You take out you iPod needing something to get the blonde haired heir of Durin out of your head.
You let out an inaudible sigh of content and close your eyes with relaxed smile on your face as you lean back resting your head on the tree your leaning against. You nod imperceptibly as the sweet voice of Luke Hemmings surrounds you and you surrender yourself to the all too familiar music of 5 Seconds of Summer. You start humming to their song 'Too Late' as thoughts of Fíli come to you.
The crinkles by his eyes when he laughs. The twinkle of mischief in his eyes that has never seemed to go away so far on this quest, even when they were riding on the ponies stoking in the rain that seemed to never stop a few days ago. How he never has a bad thing to say about anyone except orcs, and perhaps elves on the rare occasion. The way he can make you so mad you just want to hit him. The way his braided mustache twitches in the oddest of ways when he smiles.
'Oh Fíli, don't you see what you're doing to me?! Is there any chance at all that you think of me the way you think of me?'
You're snapped out of your musings when the devil himself pulls out one of your ear buds and tantalizingly whispers softly, "Don't go falling asleep; you and I have first watch and there's something I need to tell you, beautiful."
You watch him walk away with a blush working its way across your whole face.
'Maybe you do feel same way as me, Fíli.'
