The teenager let's herself into her home or at least one of her homes. Sixteen year old Grace Williams lives between her parents. Currently she is at the home of her father and step-mother.
"Hello, anyone home?" She calls.
"Grace," her step mother calls back as she walks out from the kitchen towards the living room.
"I wasn't expecting you." Grace gives Kono Williams a small smile.
"Is it okay, that I come?" She asks quietly.
"Of course Grace, you are always welcome here." She tells her "This is your home too. So, how is my favorite daughter?" Kono asks
"Kono, I'm your only daughter." She laughs as she answers.
"Yeah, but your still my favorite daughter. So what's up kiddo?" she continues.
"Do you have some time to talk?" Grace asks turning serious.
"Grace, I always have time for you, talk to me, you're worrying me." Kono says
"Kono is there something wrong with me?" asks the teen, tears forming in her eyes.
"No Gracie! Why would you ask that?" She exclaims becoming more concerned.
"Tommy," tears are now flowing freely. "he says that I'm a prude and if I want him to remain my boyfriend that I need to get with the times." She finishes and curls into herself sitting down on the couch. Kono hurries over to her step-daughter and pulls her into her arms and hugs her tight.
"Grace sweetheart," Kono puts her fingers under her chin and lifts her face to look at her. "The only one who has the right to say you need to change is you." She continues.
"But do you think I'm a prude?" the young woman asks honestly
"No keikei. Why do you think Tommy says you're a prude?" Kono asks. At this Grace blushes under her tanned skin.
"He says that because I follow the rules, like the fact I won't drink at parties and I won't do more than kiss." She continues.
"Grace, Tommy is aware of what your dad, uncles and I do for a living, correct?" she asks.
"Kono! Of course he does, he knows all you guys since I was 8 years old." She says with a smile.
"Ok I'm glad, about only holding hands and kissing. I am really happy you respect yourself. You need to do what you feel is right for you." She tells her honestly. She sighs with a little laugh.
"On another note, I appreciate you not doing anything that will make Danno homicidal." As her step-mother finishes Grace Williams lets out a long laugh.
"Yeah, besides Danno we'd have Uncle Steve, Uncle Chin, and maybe even Kamekona that might go after Tommy." Grace adds.
"And I'd have to arrest them all and then I would be running 5-0 all by myself." She laughed and then continues "I guess you would have to run the shrimp truck." Grace and Kono both laugh.
"Kono, thank you so much for listening to me. Mom and Step-Stan don't always really listen and Danno would just get mad." Grace tells her and hugs her step mother.
"Gracie, I will always be here for you. I love you and respect you." She tells the teen.
"I guess I will have to let Tommy know that if he thinks a threat will make a change in me he's sadly mistaken." She says defiantly. "And if he doesn't like it I'll just have to bring him in to the 5-0 headquarters and let him talk to you guy." She finishes.
