This is a ShadowXAmy fanfic, and my first one to be exact. Needless to say, I enjoy writing. Originally it was going to be a oneshot, but I really wanted to be it on now so...there ya go!

"Sonic come back!" Amy Rose pled as the blue bullet sped down Station Square's sidewalk. Farther it went until Amy could no longer spot it in the distance. Her outstretched hand came down slowly as she stared forward in disbelief.
She shook her head desperately trying to get the memory out, though it proved futile. After all, it had only happened a few minutes ago. After waiting ages for Sonic to take her out on the date he owed, she finally confronted him about it. Not wanting to take anything like alien rescues or story book adventures as an excuse, she vented out her frustration slowly as she demanded he take her somewhere right now. It had been months since he promised.
Shockingly, he acted as though he had no clue what she was spouting, and if he did say something he was probably joking. However Amy had just glared at him; he was lying through his teeth. Not wanting to deal with conflict anymore he easily sped off somewhere else, leaving Amy as the center of attention on the sidewalk that day…
Amy felt like crying at the dignity and trust she lost in that moment. She had fled the embarrassing ordeal by heading into Mystic Ruins, which was good since she could be by herself. It was times like these where Amy knew that she was pathetically in love with someone that would never feel the same way back; Sonic never even thought twice about her unless she was kidnapped or with his close friends such as Tails. Despite all of this, she just kept telling herself to not give up, yet the pep talk slowly started becoming a thoughtless echo.
As she regained her train of thought, she looked at her surroundings. Widening her eyes a little, she swerved from left to right; trees were in every direction. She also realized her dress had become muddy from walking in the soil. She sighed in unwanted irritation. 'Great, now I'm lost and dirty', she thought as she angrily kicked a nearby rock, 'This day couldn't get any worse'.
"You seem troubled Rose" a rough voice called out above her. Amy gasped as she looked up. Gazing toward her with interest, Shadow the Hedgehog sat calmly in a tree with his hand resting behind his head.
