"Hey Derek!" Meredith yelled at him in the parking lot.
Derek smiled at her and waited for her to catch up.
"Hey Meri, so you're speaking to me again?" He asked happily. She was mad at him because when she was on a "date" with McVet he had "Interrupted" them.
"It's exhausting to hate you." She said.
"Last time you said that I got a kiss..." He said turning abruptly so she ran into him.
"Yeah you did..."
"I think it should be a rule." Derek said dangerously close to her .
"You do?" Meredith asked, her breath mingled with his.
Before Derek could say yes her lips covered his. His hands went to cup her face as hers rested on his chest.
The kiss went on and she could feel his hand start to play with the hem of her shirt. She smiled and leaned into him. She kissed him one last time before she broke off.
"Derek?" She gasped.
"Hmm?" He replied kissing her collarbone.
"We...we're dating."
"Last. Time. I checked. Kissing. Was. Involved. When. You dated." He managed to get out in between kisses.
"Yea but Derek I can't trust myself around you." She said like he should know that already.
"This isn't fair Meredith. McVet gets to kiss you but I don't?" He asked. His face was still dangerously close to hers.
She turned on her heel and started to walk towards the hospital. Derek was close behind her. She stepped onto the elevator and he laughed.
"Elevator huh? I should have known."
"I'm not kissing you. You can't influence my decision by kissing me. I Meredith Grey am not kissing you" Meredith said. Derek nodded solemly. He walked behind her and leaned in ever so slightly so that she could feel his breath on her neck. He brushed up against her making her gasp.
"Derek..."
"Meredith..."
"Kiss me."
Derek smiled and grabbed her by the shoulders turning her around to face him. He took her by the waist and pulled her up against his body. He ran his fingers through her hair as she pushed him up against the side of the elevator. His lips found hers quickly almost instictivley. He knew the elevator was going to come to the next floor soon. To soon. "Meredith?"
He kissed her neck. "Dinner tonight? Eight?" He asked out of breath.
"Yeah." She replied smiling. She kissed him one last time on the lips before the door opened and she walked out.
