Cellmates

Summary: The X-Men go and save a group of young mutants. X23 is in the group.
Chapter one:
Laura woke up and she looked around. She was in a cell and she had manacles that covered her hands and her forearms. She saw that there were four other youngsters with her. The most eye-catching one was a boy who looked like a werewolf. He had razor-sharp claws and fangs, a full-body coat of fur and pointed ears. "Great. The newbie's awake." He growled.
"Nick, chill out," another girl said She had black hair and pale skin. She had blue eyes.
"Hello, I am Hope Abbott."
"Yo, I'm Mark Lowell," a boy said. He had dark brown hair and dark green eyes.
"Hello, I am Joy White." The last girl said. She had black hair, black skin and red eyes. She was like a living shadow.
"So what's your name," Mark asked.
"I have no name. I am designated as X23."
"Whoa."
They talked.
Laura found out that Mark had super strength. Hope had the ability to astral project herself outside of her body. Nick had enhanced senses, strength, speed, agility, reflexes, coordination, balance, and endurance, and Joy had the ability that she called shadow-walking. She also had the ability to stretch her body like a shadow.
The F.O.H.(Friends of Humanity) guards came and took Mark away.
Mark lay on the lab table. He looked around at the room. The doctor was getting ready to experiment on him. "I'll be just a minute, mutie." He said.
Mark waited until the doctor was gone and Mark closed his eyes and triggered his change. His body became smaller and curvier. She was now female in body. She got up from the table and removed her manacles. She thought, "I have been here for a month and they didn't even know that I had another power."
She had hided under the table where they had placed her. Within a minute the doctor came in and he saw an empty room. He turned to yell out something and she ran to punch him out. He went down. Mark then took a key ring from him and she ran to get her friends. She had stopped in fount of the cell door and she went male. He opened the door.
"Does anyone else want to get the hell out of dodge or is it just me?" he said.
"Come on, Mark!" Nick said.
He freed them of their manacles.
They ran out and they went out of the building. A black airplane landed. "Logan!" Laura yelled.
"Hey, X23. What are you doing here?"
"Hey, sir, we would like to get out of here now!!" Nick yelled.
They went into the airplane and Mark said with Laura, Nick, Hope, and Joy.
They went to Xavier's Institute for Talented Youngsters in Bayville, Massachusetts.
Professor Charles F. Xavier looked at the five young mutants.
"Hello, I am Professor Charles Francis Xavier. I would like to invite all of you to come to my school here."
They all agree. Xavier had called their parents to get their permission for their children to intend his school. Mark's parents were mutant haters and they gave Xavier custody over Mark. Mark then legally changed his last name to Xavier to honor Charles.
Mark and Nick shared a room. Laura shared a room with Jean Grey and Joy and Hope shared a room.
The professor called them into his office.
"Yes, Professor," Laura said.
"We need codenames for your group. We're making you five a squad. Laura, are you going to use X23?"
"Yes, Professor, I am going to use X23."
"Mark?"
"There's one thing you need to know about me, Professor. I can be a girl with super speed." Mark said.
"Oh, Mark," Joy said.
"Well, then what shall be your codename, Mark?"
"What about my sign? It's Gemini."
"It sounds good to me, Mark. Joy?"
"I want to be Shadow."
"Hope?"
"I'll be Trance."
"Nicholas?"
"I'll be Wolf Cub."
