WILD RIDE

Dean dutifully finished donning his vest and helmet before settling into the raft emblazoned with Crazy Pete's Wild Water Adventures. He felt Sam settle in behind him.
"Man, how'd I let you talk me into this again?"
"You said when I got out of the hospital, we could do anything I wanted. And I've always wanted to do this."
"Yeah, but..."
"Ssshhh. Pay attention."
Dean reluctantly focused on their guide, absorbing last minute instructions. As they pushed off, he lofted a prayer to Cas.
Within a few minutes, Dean fully understood why it was called white water rafting. The water roiled and boiled beneath them, tossing the raft to and fro. Only their frantic paddling brought some semblance of order to the watery chaos.
Four hours later, it was over. Dean splashed to shore, resisting the urge to drop and kiss dry ground.
A beaming Sam came up behind him. "That was wild, right? Definitely have to do that again sometime!"
"Yeah, yeah-it was great," muttered Dean. Releasing his white-knuckled grip on his paddle, Dean pressed his hands to his stomach. Despite his misery, Sam's smile went a long way toward soothing the queasiness.
