Lily Evens has been friends with James Potter since the beginning of seventh year, and now that they have become close Lily just cant seem to get over him. He seems so nice now. He never seemed to bully anyone, show off, and he basically just seemed… mature. At the beginning of the year she was content with jus being friends, but now that she has gotten to know him she cant help but feel as though being friends isn't enough.

James Potter is so happy that Lily Evens is finally giving him a chance. They do things together all the time now, but he still feels that she only thinks of him as a friend. Serious, Remus, and Peter are constantly telling him how Lily is constantly looking at him and talking about him, but he just can't seem to believe them, even when he does witness her looking at him himself. He wishes he could just hold her in his arms, kissing her passionately, but is scared she doesn't feel the same way. He wishes she would just confess, but is scared their relationship would change is she did, or if he confessed and she still didn't feel the same way.

Lily is sitting in the common room when James walks through the portrait whole. Their eyes meet, and James walks over to sit next to her.
"Hey." he says.
"Hi." She replies quietly.
James takes a deep breath.
"Lily, we need to talk."
