It started when they were both at a special aftermath episode - the best moments of every season. The whole cast was there.
He was sitting on the other side of the room, but Dawn noticed him staring at her out of the corner of her eye. She looked back at him, their gazes met, and he looked away quickly.
That happened a couple more times throughout the night, and she couldn't stop thinking about him since.
At first she was just confused.
Why do I keep thinking about him?
I haven't even talked to him, why is he still in my mind?
When she realized, she tried to deny it.
Of course I don't have a crush, I was probably just dazzled by his aura!
Then she tried to stop it, anyway she could.
She tried distracting herself, but her thoughts always drifted back to him.
I don't even know him!
She found herself doodling hearts in her notebook, when she was supposed to be working on more important things.
And I bet he doesn't even know my name!
She found herself listening to lovey-dovey songs, and imagining what he would say if she talked to him.
Snap out of it! I've never even met him! What if he's just like Scott?
She hadn't had a crush for so long, not since TDROTI, and look how that turned out.
She tried flicking herself on her hand every time she thought of him, but all she got out of that was a dark purple bruise.
Get out of my head!
When she found herself watching a marathon of old Total Drama episodes, her eyes on DJ the whole time, she finally accepted it.
Total Drama Island.
'Yay! He conquered his fear of snakes! What a sweetie...'
Total Drama Action.
'Awww... Poor DJ! But he's finally standing up to Chef!'
Total Drama World Tour.
Just one more episode...
