Draco smiled for the first time in years, since his father had begun his rage. His love now sat in front of him, inviting him, beckoning him, asking him to approach. He answered the plea, running his hands over the lumps. She was beautiful. He lifted her close and his teeth pierced the skin.

"Oh, apple, how I will cherish you!" but his promise was empty, as Apple was gone in a flash, leaving him alone and afraid. He cried out.

"Apple, my love, you have left me behind, of what a nightmare!" he shut his eyes tightly, opening them to find only darkness. Apple was there, on the table by his bed, shining in the moonlight. He smiled, holding her close and falling asleep once again.
