Valkyrie Cain left Danny to wonder about magic and stepped outside. "Hello, Skulduggery."
"Hello Valkyrie."
"Did you miss me?"
"Immensely."
"You still have the Bentley?"
"Yes, I do, and I paid a lot of money just so it could be the first car you saw when you came back."
"Well then, we better get going hadn't we?"
"I'd say so."
They took a large private jet that carried them and the Bentley. It took a few hours to get to Ireland and when they got there a blonde woman in brown leather and a London accent was waiting for them. Valkyrie and Skulduggery walked up to her. The woman pulled a Valkyrie in a tight embrace.
"I missed you so much Val,"
"I missed you too Tanith."
"Never leave again."
"Uh, sure…"
"I mean it."
They climbed into the Bentley with Tanith riding alongside them on her motorbike.
The first place they visited was Valkyrie's home of 18 years before she was in America. She was nervous, of course she would be, this was her first time seeing her parents in over 5 years and she didn't even alert them that she was coming home.
"I'm so nervous,"
"Of course you would be,"
"Yeah, well, it's just, I think I should have told them I was coming back before we left."
"Nonsense, its more fun if its a surprise,"
"I suppose"
Valkyrie entered the house and went up to her mother, who was preparing dinner. She tapped her on the shoulder, and she turned around and put her hand on her mouth and screamed happily.
"STEPH!"
"Yeah, its me,"
"DESMOND, GET IN HERE!"
Her father came in and stood in shock as he held Alice. He put her down, and she ran over to her older sister. Desmond walked up to her and hugged her as well as her mother and sister. Valkyrie just absorbed it all. It was so comforting.
"I missed you guys so much."
After a long catch-up with her family, she got her car out of the garage, which her parents made sure didn't die, and went to go to her new house, her inherited property from her late uncle Gordon.
This won't be a long story but I just had an unfinished chapter that I wanted to post.
