Power Rangers; wild force.

I don't own the power rangers wild force series, but I do own Blair Reynolds and another character which I've decided to add. His name is Captain Robert Malcolm Theron, so this is just a small story I decided to write for myself so I hope you'll enjoy it.

It was on that very day after the six Wild force Rangers gave their growl phones and vests back to Princess Shayla, Taylor Earhardt was sitting down at a small café in Turtle cove thinking of what she's going to do with her own life since the power rangers are not needed anymore and the team disbanded.

With all five of her friends now going on, to do different stuff like Cole Evans going on to study at college so that he can reach his goal in becoming a Veterinarian and Alyssa going back to University to become a teacher and Danny going across the world with his friend Max, this leaves her to contemplate her own life.

She was finishing her coffee which she had been taking sips for an hour whilst sitting at the table. it was then when she saw Cole Evans, a man in a wheelchair and someone who looked almost familiar walking side by side whilst the man rolled along with them, they were outside the coffee house.
Without hesitation, she got her jacket and her stuff leaving some money for the waiter to pick up for paying the bill.
She went out through the door to speak with Cole and find out who the two people speaking with Cole were.

"Hey Cole." She called to him. He turned around to see Taylor standing there; he in turn waved to her and said something to the two men before he came to her. The man who was a civilian stood there with the other man in the wheelchair, who was dressed in a Military uniform watching whilst Taylor and Cole spoke.
"I didn't expect to see you here I mean I thought you were off to take a job at an airport or something." said Cole.

"Well I'm still weighing my options for now and am thinking of either going back to the Air force but I'm also thinking of going on to teaching flying lessons. By the way who are those two man you were talking to?" Taylor said, pointing to the man standing there, looking at the skies whilst the man in the wheelchair watched them carefully. Cole turned to the man as he spoke.
"Oh, he's a guidance councillor. His name is commander Blair Reynolds; he is an Ex-member of the Navy SEAL team Seven and he's a squad leader himself in his time before he came here." Blair turned to look at Taylor, who looked so surprised to meet an Ex-Seal of the Navy.
Once he walked up close to them he spoke. "Did Cole tell you that I was the one who inspired him to enlist willingly in this Wild Force team?" Taylor was even more surprised to hear him speak of the power rangers Wild force, but looking at him directly she shook it off before she spoke.
"OK, how is it that you knew about us?"
"A friend of yours named Animus spoke with me over a year ago. He said that one day I will need to speak with one who was chosen to be the red ranger as he saw someone who can appeal to the chosen one's heart and lead him to his destiny. At first I thought it was cryptic but to show some shred of proof He showed me a vision of his world."

"Wait, wait, you mean Animus came to you?" asked Taylor.

"Yes, he saw the presence of a kindred spirit when we met over a year ago on my last mission before retirement. There were so few wise souls left in this universe we cannot afford to ignore each other." said Blair.

"Then why did you take Cole away from us when we recruited him on the day we found him?"

"Because he needed to make up his own mind and take the first step. I could not allow you to deprive him of his own choice by simply drafting him in like the Navy did to me." Blair paused a moment before he continued to speak.
"I inspired him to make his choice and in turn he found a revelation of all which he could accomplish in the team, of a series of adventures and lessons in a friendship that would define him and the other power rangers in ways you could not yet realise in your own life."

"Okay, then may I ask you who is the military soldier in the wheelchair?" asked Taylor.

Blair turned around to look at Theron who was wheeling himself towards them before he turned back to Taylor.
"The man in the wheelchair is US Army Captain..." Blair spoke when Robert Theron intervened.
"I can introduce myself Reynolds, thank you. My name is Captain Robert Theron, I was fellow member of Navy SEAL team 7 who was transferred from the 75th Army rangers division. And before then I was famed to be a soldier whose SEAL team Seven known as the Eagle 6 Pyro-Hunter once aided the Turbo power rangers in the fight against a machine prince named Gasket along with his machine army. Even a soldier like you might have heard the story."

"That's Captain Robert Theron, of SEAL Team Seven, The Pyro hunter of the 75th?" Taylor said, looking at Blair and then down at Robert Theron, who stopped his wheelchair in front of the three before he answered. "Yes I use to be, I was on active duty that was until I joined in a red ranger mission, aiding the red ranger battalion in space combat, I fought against those remnant generals of the Machine Empire. Unfortunately, a close encounter attack from one of those machine generals in deep space caused heavy damage which destroyed my ship. Luckily I ejected myself but the impact of the explosion dented the back of my pod. The shrapnel piece from the ship flew in and punctured the back into my seat, causing a sharp puncture injury into my spine which left my legs paralysed from the waist down.
The attack then left me disabled. But at least before that, I came to the factory to save Ransik from death when I used the last of the serum he had. Still it could have been worse for me."

"Oh, if you've had some history with this machine empire, I'm sorry to hear about your injuries Captain Theron. But I'm glad that you intervened and saved Ransik whilst we fought the Mutorgs, I'm sure that his daughter Nadira was grateful for your service and personally I'd like to say its a great honour to meet a famous soldier you." Taylor spoke, extending her hand out to Captain Theron who took it and shook her hand. Withdrawing his hand he spoke.

"I'm sure the honour is much yours as it is mine Lieutenant Earhardt. I've read about your leaving the Air force for another job which turned out to be another power rangers group. you could have informed me of your work there."

"I'm sorry sir, but like the other rangers I was under oath of secrecy." Taylor spoke before turning to Blair and then spoke to him.
"So tell me Blair, how did Animus persuade you to keep our secret?"

"He inferred that universe-ending paradoxes would ensue should I break my promise."

"He lied to you."

"Aww… in the terms we shared… He implied."

"A gamble?" asked Taylor, tipping her head forward.

Before Blair could answer, Captain Theron intervened and then spoke out. "Actually Lieutenant. I believe it was more of an act of faith. Just like when Blair asked Cole to keep his secret, He told me that he and Animus knew that the world was coming into dangerous times so he merely kept the secret in a small measure of devotion to this country just as I did by reporting your activities, my superiors deemed it classified. And I hope you'll perform an act of faith for me in the future as an Air force Pilot."

"In the midst of destruction I think it best to stay as a civilian and take up teaching in flying lessons and help rebuild the city." said Taylor, being frank about the whole situation.

Blair nodded and then spoke. "Indeed and yet you can qualify for more than you can imagine, I urge you to remain in the Air Force. Our forces in the Navy and the Army will need all of its best soldiers and pilots establish protection for the new Space fleet encase another threat would cast its shadow on the heart of Turtle Cove."

"That's one thing that Commander Reynolds and I can agree upon, I second that urge for you to return to the Air force. You are the best pilot Lieutenant and someday we'll need you standing with us against future enemies." said Robert.

"Anyways the city can take care of itself, and soon I'll need your help Taylor with a small situation." said Blair.

"What situation is that?" asked Cole. Blair looked at Cole and Taylor before he spoke.
"My reunion with my wife was a big success, we've have recently found out that my wife Sonja is pregnant."

"You have a wife?" asked Cole.

With a small grin, Blair explained himself whilst Robert sat in his wheelchair listening. "Yes, we've been married since before we both retired together, we were assigned on a mission together which was followed by a series of other missions. We've been on so many adventures and in time I fell in love because of her skill and her leadership and she fell for my devotion and my mind. After we married we decided to retire in the hopes to hang up our weapons and days of war for peace until a year ago, Captain Theron called me and my wife Sonja to take up arms to aid the Silver Guardians of Silver Hills City against the cyclobot army commanded by a group of mutants. Thankfully our mission was a big success afterwards.
So I would like to ask Taylor to be the godmother of our child."

"The godmother?" asked Taylor.

"Of course, and I urge you to think on it. I've already asked Eric Meyers to take the privilege of being the godfather and he has accepted. I'll let you decide for yourself but in the case of your rejoining the Air force do yourself a favour: use what you have learnt as a power ranger and pass it on to your fellow squadron, they'll need you as their teacher in the near future." Brian said moving close to Taylor for a moment. With that, Blair turned to leave whilst Robert turned his wheelchair to watch him walk in the distance. Brian walked only a small distance before he turned around, Blair spoke to say farewell to the two rangers and Captain Theron.
"Since my customary military salute would appear odd under the circumstances of our military branches, I shall simply say...The best of luck to you, future Captain Earhardt and you as well Theron." Brian gave a military salute as he spoke, Taylor returned the salute as did Robert, knowing that through Brian Reynolds' connections she will be promoted to the rank he spoke of.
The Navy soldier Blair turned around and walked away leaving Taylor and Cole who stood and waved goodbye to him whilst Captain Theron saluted him, all three of them watched him go off into the distance.
After a short moment with Brian now heading home, Robert turned to look up at the two other power rangers. Taylor was the only one to turn her head to look down at Captain Theron before she spoke. "I'm sorry about what happened to you, Captain."

"There's nothing to apologise for Lieutenant, and as I am still a soldier I still see you as a Lieutenant encase you're wondering why I'm calling you by your rank. Anyways I knew what might happen when I had to go into that power plant and with the Red rangers on their mission." said Robert.

"I wish I got the chance to see you in combat. You would have helped us a great deal, especially with training Cole here." said Taylor pointing to Cole who turned to look at them both but when he was about to speak, Theron raised his hand to him and shook his head saying don't say anything which he obliged to, Theron then spoke. "Well maybe in another time I might lecture him on the importance of those too many rules which I've heard Cole spoke about when he mentioned your rule book. Anyways as much as I'd like to sit down and speak with you two but I'm afraid I might have to cut this short."

"Cut this short why? Are you going somewhere?" asked Cole.

Robert looked at Cole before he explained to him and Taylor. "Some friends of mine in the Army are holding a party for me, So this year is probably going to be my last day in my career as a soldier. because whatever happens in the near future, either way I probably won't be coming back into the field until I'm able to get my legs back and who knows I might meet some new people."

"For what its worth, I hope that you'll walk again someday soldier. It was an honour to meet you in person, Captain Theron."

"Thanks Taylor. Well I guess I better go, I don't want to be late for my own party." Theron paused, looking down before he raised his head up and then he spoke. "Its my birthday and my retirement day after all, So long rangers." With that last remark, Captain Theron gave a salute which Taylor did in return. "Goodbye Captain." Taylor said.
Then turning his wheelchair around, Robert departed heading off to meet his wife so that they can leave for home.
Afterwards Cole and Taylor departed as well heading back to their homes for the afternoon.
Soon within the week, Taylor returned to her squadron in the Air Force, stating that she was on leave for a private mission by her superiors. She continued to fly with her squadron with the Yellow Eagle spirit flying by her side in the air.
A few months after that day Taylor Earhardt was now commanding her new flight squadron under the rank of Captain, she told Brian that she'd be honoured to be the god mother of his child as Eric had accepted to be the godfather whilst Cole Evans went to School, getting through college he went on to become a veterinarian thanks to Robert Theron's connections.
Eventually he started a relationship with Alyssa which led them to get married on dating for eight months.
Within Five months in between the two years a baby boy was born in 2003, he was named Declan Wesley Reynolds, after Wesley Collins. Brian and Sonja lived as a family from that time on and raised their son well so that someday he will become a soldier and an ally for the next generation of power rangers in the near future.

As for Robert, he stayed with his family and retired from the Army. Although his legs were paralysed from the waist down during his last battle, he continued to be a consultant and military advisor for any new generation of Power rangers.
He continued going to physio therapy sessions to try and walk again as well as find ways to fix his spine and more.
But that's all another story for the time being.

Well I decided to add a bit more to the story as I had some new ideas to add, so that's all I have to say. But I might be writing more stories in the near future, so keep your eyes open and may the power be with you always.
