"What Am I to Do Kovu and Dad will kill me if they find out" the golden peach princess thought aloud.
" And my cubs, what will be their fate? What about Amari? They will kill him for sure."
"Kiara?" a voice called from behind her. She turned her head to face her cubhood friend; a cream sand colored lioness with crimson red eyes, her name was Carmen.
"Oh Carmen it's you, you startled me, what can I help you with?" Kiara stated with relief
"Oh nothing," Carmen replied waddling to her friend. "It's just your mother wanted me to check on you, you've been so distant from the pride lately why is that?"
"I just have a lot on my mind, how about you, how are your cubs doing?"
"They are fine, Rafiki says they will be strong and healthy" Carmen chipped happily
"That's wonderful" Kiara smiled happy for her friend but her smile soon faded. Carmen took note of this.
"Kiara what's troubling you, you have so much to be happy for; your crown princess, responsible for ruling the Pridelands and keeping the circle of life into balance, you're carrying the next heir to the throne, a mate who loves you, and yet you look so forlorn."
Kiara didn't bother to answer her friend right away; she was too busy in her thoughts to notice anything.
(FLASHBACK)
"C'mon Ki Ki let's just run away together, you'll be happy with the Zappa please I don't wanna live without you by my side as my queen" a tall almond furred lion said to Kiara
"I know Amari but my Father won't approve of us being together" she replied to him.
"Kiara, I don't care what your father thinks of me what I care about is that I love you and hopefully you love me too" Amari looked at her with pain in his eyes.
"Of course I love you Amari, I always will but I'm also mated to Kovu. I wouldn't live with myself if I hurt either one of you"
Amari looked at her he couldn't speak it was as if he were mute. He took her words into consideration even though she was mated to him she is mated to Kovu as well. He loves her enough to keep her happy; however, he also loves her enough to let her go so she can be happy. With a lot of thought he knew what he had to do.
"Kiara, I love you do know that don't you". Kiara nodded her response.
" I want you to be happy, even if it means letting you..."
"NO! Amari please don't do this, let talk about this!" She exclaimed while watching his sulk away slowly.
"Kiara, I don't want to be a burden to you or your pride, besides we can't keep us a secret forever someone is bound to get suspicious" He with tears in his eyes.
"I Believe It's Too Late for That" a deep voice chided softly behind them"

Kiara snapped from her memory lane at sound of her name being called. She padded back to Priderock, but before taking one last look at the place where she first fell in love.
