Moonlit Walk

-Little two part poem I wrote for AP English class around midnight of the last day of Easter break. Hopefully I'm not completely delirious from lack of sleep and its not really really bad. Its somewhat sad but you should probably expect that in any story about Seisei and Subs.
-I walked through the park last night Too afraid to fall asleep To be tormented by you and your mocking smile Just like every other night. It was cold with a sliver of moon The light of my cigarette flickered in the blackness. As I walked I tried to avoid it But it snuck up on me in the dark, The sakura tree where I first saw you Where you marked me as your own. You use to say that you loved me You made sacrifices that made me think you did. It was too late when I learned it was all a lie. You took from me things As a result of my ignorance That I will never again hold. A gust of wind came out of the void The pink petals flew around me One landed in my palm I captured it in a fist You used my love as your greatest weapon against me In the end it rather than hate will lead to your downfall.
You came back again You always will no matter how much you try and run Even after you have committed your acts of vengeance, Even after I'm gone. Until that day I will come as well And watch you the only way that I can. You can never know the truth The pain behind that mocking smile How my sacrifices were not part of any plan Made only to see the innocent joy in your eyes. That joy I will never see again All that I took from you will never be returned No matter how much I wish it. You are gone now Back to your empty apartment So I will return to mine as well. In time I will die by your hand And my last words will be said in your arms I would not have it any other way
