Hey people so I am by no means shirking on Welcome to Paradise but I was looking at Forums and decided to enter TuesdayNovember's challenge hope you all like it! Please Review! :D
He sat there staring listlessly outside watching with only slight interest as the fat raindrops slid down leaving trails behind. Outside the thunder boomed and the boy started in fright in heart racing pumping adrenaline into his veins.
The savages danced around the fire shouting wailing like deranged animals. The boy was smiling his eyes alright with a new fire a deeply hidden fire…that burned in his soul. No one heard the cries the pleas…no one could hear over the dance…yes just a harmless dance.
shaking his head frantically the boy grimaced at his thoughts. The images like a past life or some nightmare he couldn't shake. The raindrops continued to fall and the boy was reminded of the ocean. Once a safe place now full of dark secrets lurking beneath the waves. But the ocean was not a killer…no the ocean was only a witness to the crimes against humanity.
The dance progressed screams piercing the smokey scene screams of anguish. But they went on clawing and grasping tearing into flesh greedily like a pack of wolves…animals.
No the boy could not let his mind wander down those roads the memories he had worked so hard to repress…his sanity dependent on the cage that held them. But they were always there teasing him through the bars. Hissing and jeering saying things like "murderer…savage". Or things meant to beguile him into handing over the key the silver key stained in blood…
Kill the pig, slit its throat, spill its blood… Kill the boy, slit his throat, spill his blood…
Blood everywhere the dance ending the storm blowing over the mangled body lying in the sand. He had touched it with his still bloodied hands…murderer.
"Ralph darling it's time for the funeral the storm is supposed to let up soon" a voice called barely reaching his hazy mind. The boy looked down at his small pale hands …covered in Simon's blood. Outside the thunder continued to growl and roar the beast smiling…eyes glinting.
