Yuffie's P.O.V.
He just told me about Castle Oblivion and his journey through Kingdom Hearts with King Mickey by his side. The only piece of his story that did not seem to fit was the crossroads.
If there were only two roads, darkness and light, what road did he take? When I asked, he laughed as if the answer should have been obvious to me. I glared at him and demanded a real answer.
He smiled and replied, "The middle road; the road between light and dark, the road to the twilight."
I blinked at the strange answer and then wished I could have taken back my next question before he gushed out of my mouth, "What of Ansem and Sora?"
His face darkened, bangs covering the expression that would have been clearly written in his eyes and before I had the chance to back my question, he answered it, "They're here." He placed a hand over his heart, "Sora is the light, Ansem is the darkness but I'm a mix of both like the twilight. I can no longer exist without darkness and I cannot exist without light. So the darkness can never be completely defeated nor the light."
I continued to listen to him. I guess what he said makes sense but before I can speak up again, he continued, "That means Sora and Ansem will always be a part of me. Never too far away." He finished, his back turned towards me since he had not seemed to have the courage to say all of this to my face.
I smiled, almost sadly but not quite, "Never too far away from us then." I replied and he turned to look at me, looking a little shocked.
"You'll stay with me, knowing there's darkness in my heart that will never leave?" He asked hesitantly, as if afraid of my answer.
I look into his eyes with a genuine smile, "Yeah." I replied and kissed him so hard to remind him that he cannot get rid of me so easily.
Glor: So two pages in my notebook equals a drabble... Feels like so much more... Oh well. I wrote this long before I knew any KH2 info so if there's incorrectness galore; take this as a slight AU.
