Preface
Eeny, meeny, miny, moe,
Catch a tiger by the toe.
If he hollers, let him go,
Eeny, meeny, miny, moe.
The blonde points at each person in front of her, her eyes darting from each worthy choice. It was wonderful being the most popular girl in the second grade class, but she really needed to ace this project. The girl's parents were kind of strict, after all. As she wagged her finger, her blue eyes flickered from Julie Goodwin, to Stacey Rodgers, and then to the new girl in the corner. She didn't remember what the tall girl's name was, but Kitty couldn't help but be intrigued by her. There was something about her, that the blonde really liked. It was as if she didn't have to try like Kitty did. She was just likable.
As she finished the rhyme, Kitty raised from her chair, pushing away the girls that surrounded her, hearing Julie whine something before stepping in front of the brunette. Tapping the desk, the girl looked away from her daydreams and straight into Kitty's eyes. It was as if the unknown girl was staring into her soul, and Kitty couldn't dare look away. Her priorities weren't on her peanut butter and jelly sandwich or begging her parents for tickets to the Spice Girls – it was all about the mystery girl.
"Hi, I'm Kitty," the blonde greeted, a warm smile on her face. The one that she didn't show all that often.
The brunette returned the smile half-heartedly as Kitty pulled up a seat. She clutched her paper bag, as if she was afraid of anything that came her way.
"I'm M-Marley," she stuttered out.
Kitty knew that day, she had found the one.
Okay, so the lack of inspiration I have to write is horrible, but this will probably turn into a multi fic if I have the chance. It'll be meshing Marley and Kitty's backgrounds together, the next chapter will be a bit of a blur, but hopefully I'll keep it up.
Review if you want.
