Talking to the Moon

A poem about a conversation that Jack might have had with the moon, during his 300 years alone. This isn't a song-fic, though. Disclaimer: I don't own Rise of the Guardians.

Talking to the Moon

The kids always run by,
no matter how I try
to make them believe in me,
a myth is all I'll ever be.

"Man in Moon, you put me here,
but day after day, year after year,
you don't talk back, it's like you forgot
that I'm still here, left to rot.

Just tell me what I have to do,
I'll do anything not to be walked through.
Please, just talk to me,
let someone see..."

But the Man In Moon never talks back,
like he doesn't care about troublesome Jack,
making a mess wherever he goes,
that's all he really knows.

"Man in Moon, please, just let me know
what I've done wrong so
I can do better, and not just be
a saying, but let them see me..."
