"Today is the day!" a blonde celestial spirit mage exclaimed one early morning. She stood up and walked to her calendar. She was too excited to notice that she had been sleeping on the cold floor for an hour or so, and that there was a certain pink-headed dragon slayer and a blue exceed sleeing on her pink bed.
"Yes! It is today!" she repeated.
"What's today, Luce?" the exceed asked and yawned. He was awakened by Lucy's loud voice that could be heard from downstairs.
"It's just the Annual Fairy Tail Ball, that's all."
"Oh no! I have to get ready! I'm gonna go get Carla (Charle), see ya guys later!" Happy said and flew out the window.
"What was that about, Lucy?" a sleepy dragon slayer asked.
"The Annual Ball is today, Natsu!"
"Oh-the annual-THE ANNUAL BALL IS TODAY?" Natsu said then umped off the bed.
"Yeah. And don't tell me you haven't asked any one out yet!"
"Now that you mention it, that was what all the other mages were doing yesterday…"

Nastu was walking down the streets when he chanced upon Gajeel stalking Levy. "What is he up to…?" he thought and quietly followed Gajeel.
"Hey Levy," Gajeel said while hiding a bouquet of flowers behind his back, "can I talk to you in private?"
Levy turned around and blushed. "Sure Gajeel,"
Natsu didn't want to ruin the sweet moment, so he just skipped off and indeed his own business.
Then, a few minutes later, he saw Gray. He ran up to him and said, "Hey Ice Head, wanna fight?"
"No time, Natsu," said Gray. "That is just weird," Natsu thought.
"Why?"
"I have to find Juvia,"
"Of course, he's holding a card," Natsu thought.
He just let Gray mind his own business.
"Is it Valentines Day? No…it's April today…How about women's day? No…that's last week." Natsu kept on thinking why, why did all the men in here suddenly go dating or something…?

That was why. It was the Annnual Fairy Tail Midnight Ball. It would be humiliating if he just sat down later at the party and watch the others dance…So he quickly stood up and asked Lucy, "Can you go with me to the ball?"
"Sorry, Natsu. I have a lucky date today," Lucy said and winked. She brought out her celestial spirit key, the one that summons Loke.
"Oh, okay, then. Bye!"
"Bye! Now, I'll go shopping…"

Natsu fret around in search of a date.
"Hello Fawn!" he greeted the blue-headed sky dragon slayer.
"Oh, hello Natsu,"
"Do you wanna be my date for the ball later?"
"Sorry, Natsu. Remus already asked me."
"Oh, okay,"
"You could ask Wendy, I don't know if she has a date yet."
"Thanks,"

"WENDY," Natsu called out.
"Hello Natsu," the sky maiden greeted.
"Do you want to be my date for the ball?"
"I'd love to, Natsu-but Romeo already asked me,"
"Okay…"
"I hope you find a date, Natsu."
"Thanks,"

Natsu is really down, He had asked Erza out too, but Seigrain already did before him. He saw Petite across the street whistling.
"Hey Petty,"
"Hey Natsu,"
"Do you wanna be-my-date…?"
"…For the ball? Sorry, your brother already asked-NATSU!"
Natsu fell on the road, exhausted.
"Hey Natsu, you might get ran over,"
Natsu stood up.
"HMMMUUUPPPHHH…"
"I know some girl who still doesn't have a date yet…"
"WHO?" Natsu asked, suddenly leaping up.
"My sister Lisanna,"
OF COURSE! What kind of idiot is he to forget his bestest (aside from Taguisu himself, and Petite and the two brother exceeds) childhood friend?
"Do ya know where your big sis is?"
"Yup, she's back at home fixing dinner,"

And so Natsu at last found a date…And they all lived happily ever after… Until now.
