Hello! ^-^ This is my first Avatar fan fic and I hope you enjoy! This is basically my view on the shipping wars (specifically Zutara and Kataang)... I hope it doesn't offend anybody! It's just a random story I thought of!
Disclaimer: I do not own Avatar: The last Airbender. I wish I did, but I don't. Okay?
Leyla Johnson was sitting at her desk, quietly reading a book. Today was her first day at her new school. She hoped that she didn't attract any attention. Unfortunately, she did.
"Hello!" a cheerful voice greeted.
Leyla muttered a "Hi" and went back to her book.
"My name is Rona!" Rona smiled. "What's yours?"
"Leyla," she replied.
"So... what's your favorite pairing?" Leyla looked up.
"Excuse me?"
"You know... for Avatar? Are you a Kataanger or a Zutarian?"
"I bet she's a Zutarian!" a girl announced before Leyla could answer. Rona glared at the girl.
"Hello. Mia," she said through clenched teeth.
"Hello. Rona." Mia put a hand on her hip. "Are you still wasting your time at that pathetic shipping? Everyone knows that Zutara is the best ship ever!" Rona's eye twitched.
"My ship (Kataang) happens to be cannon!" she lashed out.
"That doesn't mean it's any good," Mia countered.
"It kinda does." The two continued to glare at each other.
"ZUTARA!"
"KATAANG!"
"ZUTARA!"
"KATAANG!"
"SHUT UP!" Leyla shouted. She rubbed her temples. "I don't even watch Avatar! And I don't care about your stupid shippings or whatever it's called! Besides, Legend of Korra is way better." She gathered her stuff and moved to another seat, leaving the two girls behind.
"Hey guys!" Aang gestured his friends to come over. "Look at what I found!"
"What is it?" Zuko asked, glancing at the computer that was in Aang's lap.
"Where did you get a computer? They haven't even been invented yet," Katara stated.
"I don't know," Aang replied. "But that's not the point! I found a website that has stories about us!"
"Cool!" Sokka jubilated. "I always wanted to be in a story!"
"Hello!" Toph waved her hand. "Blind girl here! Can't read!"
"Don't worry Toph! We'll read it out loud!" Suki declared.
"What in the world is Zaang?"
So... what do you guys think? I'm sorry if this offends anyone. Don't get me wrong. I love Kataang and Zutara. But I just find this war stupid. Anyways... please review! I want to know what you guys think! And ways I can improve this story is I can! Also, if you're going to flame me, at least give a reason!
