Stay With Me

A/N: I was suddenly inspired to write this after watching Pretty Woman and listening to Josh Gracin's "Stay With Me." If it seems weird, it is because I never wrote something like this before.

He had really needed someone there. He had just barley gotten through an argument with his now ex-girlfriend. It had ended with her stomping out the door and him slamming the door behind.

Now, he sat on his living room couch, holding the phone. But he had no need for it, for the person he was contemplating calling walked through his door. He looked up at her face with sad, but thankful eyes.

She smiled in mild embarrassment. "I thought that you might need me." All it took was one look at his face for her to rush over to the couch and take a seat beside him. "Oh my god," she said solemnly. "What happened?"

He could not bring himself to say anything. He felt that, should he say something, the floodgates would open and he lose all control of his emotions.

"She broke-up with you, didn't she?" All he could do was nod. She grabbed his shoulders and hugged him close. After a few moments, she let go and looked at him. "I'm so sorry. If there's anything I can do to help—" Her words were cut off short by his lips pressing gently on hers in sweet gentle kiss.

When they pulled back, he told her, "Stay with me."

She stared at him, shocked. "I-I don't think I. . ."

"Please."

She nodded. "Alright," she said, giving in. "I'll stay."
